Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali is a government institution established in 2007 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Students enrolled in BS and MS Dual Degree and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes are entitled to scholarships offered by the varsity. IISER Mohali scholarships are provided to students based on their performance in academics. The BS and MS Dual Degree programmes students can apply for KVPY and INSPIRE scholarships of Rs. 5,000 per month. To continue availing Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali scholarships (KVPY and INSPIRE) students to perform well in academics. The doctoral courses students can apply for Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF). As per PMRF policy, the eligible students will receive a fellowship of Rs. 70,000 - Rs. 80,000 per month. Additionally, they will be offered a grant of Rs. 2,00,000 per year.

Candidates seeking admission to the BS MS Dual Degree programme will have to meet the IISER Mohali BS-MS Dual Degree eligibility criteria.

Appear for the IISER Aptitude Test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research.
Following that, the authorities will release the IISER Aptitude Test cutoff on the official website.

We get very good food and the arrangement is good. Although you need to bring things like mattress, bucket etc. But otherwise hostel rooms are spacious and very clean. All other facilities mentioned are very good. We have good class room with well maintaining.

College Infrastructure
The college campus has wifi facility except for hostel rooms , but they are planning to provide there also . The college labs are well equipped and have everything you need will be there in the lab .

For IISER Kolkata, the maximum rank required to secure admission can vary each year based on the number of applicants and the difficulty of the exam. However, based on previous year a rank around 883 in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024. might be a good benchmark for general category candidates
