36 MonthsThe three-year Bachelor of Forensic Science Honors course at IAR is designed to provide students skills and knowledge about various types of crimes and their investigations. Forensic science is a field which applies the scientific principles for crime investigation. The course focuses on the value of observation and judgement skills for crime investigation. The students will learn thoroughly about collection, preservation, handling and examination of evidence found at different crime scenes. Using the latest technology, forensic scientists convert the clues collected from a crime scene into evidence admissible in a court of law. This course enables students to apply the knowledge of forensic science and use in courts or legal proceedings. This is a challenging and interesting field for those who have are inquisitive and loves adventure which will be presented to them in the form of various unexpected crimes in the society.
Passed 10+2 in the science stream (PCB/PCM) from a recognized board examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
