Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University was set up in 2003 and is a state university situated in Vijayapura of Karnataka. It is a women’s university with comprehensive academic programmes in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institution occupies a campus area of 281 acres, total enrolment in the institution is 1607 and total faculty strength is 63. It is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). IUM offers 223 courses in 22 programmes and ranges in Arts, Science, Commerce & Education streams.
The facilities available at Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University adequately serves the needs of the academia. The centralised library building, constructed in a year ago, measuring ten thousand two hundred and ninety-eight point sixty-two sq mtr is well equipped with proper collection of books, periodicals and E-resources. It operates during the working day hours between 9:00 AM to 7 PM and for the holidays between 10 AM to 5 PM. The library operates on settings from the KOHA software package and offers access to e-journals as well as Internet services. UGC-Infonet facilities are also found in a digital library in contributed campus.As for the living spaces, the university provides hostels for students; they are managed by lady wardens, 700 students in total. The said hostels include dining halls, prayer halls, and recreation halls in enough size.

B.Des: The university does not offer B.Des programs.
M.Des: The university does not offer M.Des programs.
M.Sc: The university offers various M.Sc programs, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Admission is based on the performance of the candidate at the bachelor's degree level. For M.Sc Computer Science, 35 seats are allotted.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women's University, Vijayapura.
The Eligibility criteria
Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the same Institution in an integrated program. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time. Hello there,
I hope you are doing well.
Most of the entrance exams are already conducted for the year 2020 for admission into any PG courses across India. So the admission are mostly been done for the year 2020. Some colleges had started it in the month of March itself. Now you can apply for the next year i.e. 2021 because most of the seats are filled and seats may not be available anymore.
Or you will have to checkout by contacting the college itself.
