As per 2021- 22 reports Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is recognised by UGC. KSOU has lost recognition with UGC from 2012 so the degree is not valid for job application.

An official note issued by UGC’s Distance Education the KSOU has been granted permission to run the courses from the academic year 2018-2019 to 2022-2023.

As KSOU (Karnataka State Open University) has Affiliations like ACU, AIU, AAOU, CoL  and is also approved by UGC. The degree is valid for all government and non government purpose in india and abroad.

Degree is not fake. Karnataka State Open University offers b.tech courses along with other degree courses.

Yes, there is a KSOU centre available near kgf district. The KSOU centre in Mysore, Karnataka provided degree of MA in English Literature. The college is good in all the aspects including faculty and placements. Around 75% students get placed with the highest package offered being 8 Lakhs and the lowest offered 4 Lakhs. 60% of the students get placed.

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is recognised by UGC.Karnataka state open university( KSOU) is not approved by AICTE (All India council of technical education) but Karnataka State Open University is approved by UGC.But KSOU degree is valid as its recognized by UGC.

Karnataka State Open University offers b.tech courses, admission can be possible to   4 years b.tech courses as well as lateral entry admission to b.tech course which is of three years duration. so the year of study you have mentioned is three years, so In case you have taken admission after completing diploma, to b.tech course through lateral entry, 3 years b.tech course in valid.

however for students who has joined b.tech after completing 12th must have completed 4 years course to obtain the degree certificate.

Yes, you can apply for government jobs before that you need to check the eligibility criteria and you must fulfill it I'm order to get recruited.The eligibility criteria will be different for each recruitment according to the post and you must have the minimum percentage in your qualifying exam and age must be within the upper age limit.
