KSOU Mysore Admission Process

Karnataka State Open University, Mysore offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Apart from 46 regular UG and PG programmes, KSOU Mysore also offers admissions to certification programmes at UG and PG levels. KSOU Mysore admissions to the UG courses are merit-based, and KSOU Mysore admissions to PG courses are granted on the performance in graduation.

B.Ed	Candidates must have completed an NCTE-recognised teacher education programme in face-to-face mode.

KSOU Mysore UG Admission Procedure

Candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria can apply for the UG programmes.
The admissions are done based on the scores obtained in the previous qualifying examinations, based on the courses applied.
The candidates can get their documents verified and pay the prescribed fee after verification and approval of documents.
After payment of fees, the candidates may collect the roll number, student ID, and study material.

KSOU Mysore Admissions Through Regional Centres

Candidates will need to visit the closest regional centre directly for their admission along with required self-attested copies and original documents,
The regional centre will then check the eligibility of the candidate,
The candidate is required to pay the prescribed fee of the course online after verification and approval of documents,
After the fee payment candidates may collect their roll number, student ID, and study material through the fee receipt at the regional center.

KSOU Mysore Doctoral Course Admissions 2025

The KSOU Mysore offers admissions to the Ph.D programmes for the duration of 6 years. Course and Eligibility criteria are mentioned in the below table.

The faculty members in the college are very supportive to the students, and also they are well-qualified. Except 1 or 2 members, every staff over there are very talented, they help the students like their own son or daughter. For the parents, who are scared to send their daughters to the college as they don't feel safe, no need to worry, they can join their wards in this college, because the college is very strict.

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is the first open university in India. It was established by an Act of the Karnataka Legislature on 13th October, 1993. The KSOU offers courses for all categories of people and not just for students but also for working professionals who wish to upgrade their skills or acquire new ones. What are its objectives? The objective of establishing a state-level open university is to provide opportunities to the citizens at large through higher education and training in various fields which shall be free from any form of discrimination on grounds such as caste, creed, religion, gender or social status.

BEd course is a program which helps students to complete their education in a short period of time. It is designed for those who have completed the basic education and want to get into higher level of education. BEd course offers an opportunity to students to acquire knowledge and skills that are required for them in order to become successful professionals.

KSOU, Mysore has a long and rich tradition of Open and Distance Learning (ODL). To be eligible for such course, candidate needs pass bachelors or equivalent under graduate degree. Then, he or she needs to appear in an entrance test for the admission.
