Lok Jagruti Kendra University, Ahmedabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Lok Jagruti Kendra University (LJKU) was established in 2019 and it is at present a State Private University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and comprises of a wide blend of programmes in the various fields. LJKU employs a total of 381 faculty members, it serves 4,073 students of which 87% are male while 13% are female. Currently, the university comprises of 79 courses in 20 disciplines, in the areas of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Computer Applications. 

Lok Jagruti Kendra University is a quality producing university with quality education being expressed by its modern infrastructure and curriculum that are in line with the current market. To provide the great infrastructure of the university, there are numbers of facilities which are the part and parcel of the student’s life to flourish academically and otherwise. The library is well stocked with books, journals, magazines and legal software more than 2500, and digital library national & International journals. LJKU offers departmental equipped laboratories for practice, an open hall or auditorium for occasions, and also the cafeteria for learners and members. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi connection, to allow for relative connectivity. There are even a moot courtroom for the students aspiring to be lawyers. Sports amenities are also provided by the university alongside air conditioned classes and a health facility that comes with first aid. Moreover, LJKU avails transport facilities to students and staff which helps the latter to get to and from this facility. 

LJKU has a diverse list of programmes that can be taken at different schooling levels. Currently the university offers sixty nine courses in twenty degree programmes at undergraduate level, postgraduate level and doctoral programmes. All the courses are available in full time mode, so as to address the wide academic spectrum of the learners. The total intake figures are still not clear, although it is important to know that the B.Com programme only has 600 approved student intake. The principle of research-oriented approach is considered systematically developed at the university, which offers Ph.D. programmes across different fields of study including Applied Sciences, Computer Science, and Information Systems, Business Administration and Management, Mathematics and Computer Science, Pharmacy, and Spatial Planning.

Students admitted to LJKU are offered different programmes and admission is done according to the programme differences. All undergraduate courses admissions are normally given based on merit in the qualifying examination. The university for postgraduate programmes may consider graduation scores and may undertake examinations and/or interviews. Ph.D. admissions demand candidates to clear an Entrance Test conducted by the university. For several courses, LJKU recognises the national and state level entrance test but the details are not giving regarding it. A good networking system for alumni association is that the university is good in connecting its former students, this will be useful for current students especially in the invitation of the alumni into the job market. Loans and bursaries are usually disbursed tailored to a given student, but generally, the university should provide some form or financial assistance for worthy students.
