MSU Baroda is hosting International Conference as part of the 93rd SBC(I) General Meet from Dec 27-29, 2024.
the benches in the classroom are somewhat broken, the classes aren't cleaned enough, there are no facilities foe specially abled people, and mostly there are no braille for blind students in which there happen to be alot of students. Smartboards are there and used efficiently, there is very less or no wifi sometimes at the hostel. There are ample amount of facilities however there is not one to take care of it, the boiler at the hostel is very old and should he replaced.
i am studying history honours as of now. The teaching is quite theoretical, their is a scope for improvement for that for sure. Professors are good actually, teaching quality could be improved and classes should be more interactive from the teacher's side as well. We have guidelines followed by the NEP and we get to study alot new subjects.
i do not have much idea regarding placements as of now but i do know that there are alot of departments where happens to be quite a good amount of people placed and the salary package is quite good also, for instance, in social work faculty there are 100% placements and the highest package is of around 40 to 50 lakhs.
The fee structure is quite affordable, the fee structure for one year is 7 thousand for my course which i feel is very much sustainable keeping in mind the facilities we have access to. I would recommend the college to someone who is looking for a affordable option to do graduation.
The buildings are very beautiful and peaceful and the vibe is very chill, people love spending their quality time in libraries and garden which is the best part of the college, it has a alot of greenery and tranquility. There is nothing worst about the facilities in particular.
The college somewhere lacks the necessary equipments and facilities, infrastructure is fine though. MSU doesn't have smart boards (not in BA course in particular) and wifi, however Hostels does have wifi facilities. The college premises is not that clean.
The quality of teaching is average, there is a scope of improvement. The curriculum updated does include recent development and it does makes one job ready but the syllabus is a bit vast and a bit difficult.
Although I've not been placed but our department does have placement. Good companies do come to hire our student and a lot of student do get placed though I am unaware of the statistics regarding placement.
The course cost per year is very much worth of the fees and the fees amount is justifiable and we do not have alot of expenses, the college is reasonable and sustainable.
The college campus is nice, fine the student do get engaged in the co curriculum activities like events festive celebrations, budget representation etc. The teachers and staff are supportive, and is in a nice location and is capable of handling emergencies .
Yes, msu was built by maharaja sayajirao gaekwad 3 amd its infrastructure is soo beautiful. Also, as i am studying archaeology my college have required museums for it. We also have audio visual rooms (projector) that we use on daily basis. I live in hostel and we have 24/7 access to wifi. Usually our equipments are well maintained and if they get damage, our authoritities take the responsibility and restore them asap. Not only in my department, you can find facilities in each department as per the requirements. We have separate study rooms in college campus as well as in hostel. We also have auditorium in college where cultural functions are organised.
I am a student of BA Hons. Archaeology and ny college comes in the list of prestigious college for archaeology. Archaeology has always interested me as i wanted to k ow our past cultures and values and our college provide us with every means to fulfill our interest. We also have museums in our department and all the artefacts that are stored in it are excavated by the students of msu itself. Also, i agree that our curriculum is updated and which includes all the recent updates. Archaeology is a job which have very few vacancy but still our college provides us better placements.
As i mentioned i am a student if archaeology hons and this job has very few vacancy but still our college provide us with better placements. Our college comes under the list of prestigious colleges which have more than 80% placement percentage. I am in 2nd year so i have not been placed yet but i have good expectations with msu because of it's past placements.
My course cost 7000 rupees per year. And yes i feel i am getting my money's worth because as per the course cost we are getting better faculty, accommodation, facility and classrooms.
The best thing about msu campus is greenery. You can see tress everywhere and it is pretty refreshing. Canteen provides good food which has a lot of variety. Camous have all the necessities such as washrooms, study rooms, auditoriums. Also teacher and staff is veri supportive. Environment can be positive and negative depeon the student crowd. We celebrate all the cultural activities. Also i work in a ngi so recently we got permission to organize a blood donation camp in our faculty.
Overall, msu is a good college providing all the necessities for localite students and students coming from different parts of India. Overall students, faculty and staf is pretty supportive and it has all.the necessities in case of emergency.
infrastructure is really very beautiful, I feel very drawn towards the vintage architecture, the buildings are quite huge and I personally really love arts faculty because of the enormous dome, it was the first thing that infatuated me when I came here. classrooms and other facilities are also quite clean. We have a huge sports ground where students come and play various games which is also quite well maintained. Hostel is also really good if fee is kept in mind, there is regular cleaning of bathrooms and rooms, the accommodation is quite good and safe and food is also hygienic.
I am pursuing english literature honours and I wanted to come in MSU baroda as i have had heard of the exceptional courses and professors. Our university follows all the rules and regulations of NEP and due to that we get to study alot various and knowledgeable subjects. Professors and quality of teaching is quite academically impressive, we have regular lectures and the teachers try to be as much as of help that they can and they are all very experienced and professional.
I have not yet been placed because I am still pursuing my graduation however i've seen quite impressive placements such as in faculty of social work, engineering, science, computer applications and arts as well, alot of huge companies hire a good amount of students and some of the faculties even provide 100% placements. For instance the social work package for HR was around 40 to 60 lakhs and it was the highest.
Our course fee altogether costs us around 7k for one year for our course which is really great since we get a lot of basic facilities at such low cost of studying. MSU is totally worth the expenses and vadodara is not even a very expensive place to live, it is very sustainable at bare minimum expenses. The college is totally worth the expense and faculty, classrooms, accommodation, basic necessities are quite commendable.
campus is very peaceful and chill, it's very quite and sage there are lot of places such as gardens, library, canteen where students like to spend their time. The best part of campus of msu is its garden and the fresh greenery, I like the fact that there are so many plants and trees which makes the vibe much more bearable. There isn't anything worst about the campus pre se, still i feel like the campus could get more cleaned for the students since there is such a large number of student count. The campus is totally safe and happening, teachers are very supportive towards us.
college is great, I would really recommend it to students who are looking for courses to pursue since their are so many options they can consider at such reasonable cost and expenses.
The infrastructure is not affordable sanctioned for students, the library has an ample amount of books but is not useful for the students, there is no smart classroom and they lack basic facility of washrooms and health facility is poor.
the curriculum is updated and the professors are well-to-do. The study prepares us for job and the professors train the students to be in the real world. The quality of teaching should be updated as the new world require a lot of skills.
The quality of placement is so poor. There is no placement cell in the college , the professors and the cell is not updated enough for it and they have no contacts with the company also. they have no support.

As it is Government college ,it has affordable and reliable .My College course is 8750 per year .Yes ,the money is all worth it because of the facilities provided ,a good and healthy environment for study .
The campus area is so good and vast, well maintained and clean.everything is available near the campus ,you Don't have to go far to buy things. As it is vast,It takes time to walk to a distance if u don't have your vehicle . IT IS very safe but you have to take a little care from animals sometimes .
