Majuli University of Culture, Majuli Admission Process

The Majuli University of Culture, Majuli (MUCM) is a state university that was created by the Assam Private University. It stands on the world's largest river island situated in Assam. The university dedicates itself to the protection and enhancement of regional culture. The university has a total of 10 courses at three levels of degrees, catering to subjects such as Assamese studies, historical and heritage studies, performing arts, and yoga. The admission process at Majuli University of Culture is for cultural studies lovers. Most programs consider the academic merit of the applicant for entry into the different programmes.

MUCM has a variety of degree programs including master's, postgraduate diplomas (PGD), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs. The academic year is mostly in line with the usual calendar of Indian universities, and the admissions most likely happen during the months that precede the start of the academic year. Eligibility differs according to program. Master's programs require candidates with Bachelor's degree qualifications according to the 10+2+3 pattern. Admission Process Degree wise

MA Programs: The Master's degree programs at MUCM include the Master of Arts in Historical and Heritage Studies and Performing Arts (Satriya Dance). These courses can be accessed with a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or equivalent) under the 10+2+3 system. In all likelihood, academic performance during undergraduate studies would equally weigh in the rank listing of applicants.

PGD Programs: The university offers courses of Post Graduate Diploma in Heritage Studies, Manuscript Studies and Preservation, Mask Making and Sculpture, and Yoga and Health Keeping. Eligibility for the courses requires for a Bachelor's degree under the 10+2+3 system and attain a minimum of 50% marks.

Ph.D. Programmes: There are Doctoral programmes offered in Assamese and allied areas, Satriya Music and Dance, and Historical and Heritage studies by MUCM. The basic qualification requirement for eligibility into these programmes is that the candidates should have cleared their M.Phil with at least 55% marks. It may be possible some further process, like entrance exam or interview, is to be followed for admission into the Ph.D. programs.
