NITTE University, Mangalore was established in the year 2008. It was declared to be a “Deemed to be University” by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on June 4, 2008. NITTE University offers diploma, UG, PG and PhD in the disciplines of medicine, allied health sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and audiology, biological sciences, media and communication and architecture.
NITTE University offers various facilities to all the students and faculty members. The NITTE facilities include hostels, health care, conveyance, laundry service, and a women-friendly friendly campus. NITTE University, Mangalore provides various scholarships to deserving students. The university has launched a scholarship scheme to support meritorious students seeking admission to MSc Nursing programme at Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, Mangalore. NITTE University scholarships include Merit Scholarships and this scholarship is for those students who have passed BSc Nursing with more than 60% marks in aggregate.
The university also provides scholarships merit scholarships to Indian nationals who have passed Class 12th in India with more than 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12th. NITTE Deemed to be University, Mangalore Admission
NITTE University, Mangalore offers admission to diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in multiple specialisations. NITTE University admissions are merit-based as well as entrance-based. Candidates are offered admission to diploma courses based on their performance in the last qualifying exam. NITTE University admission to MBBS and BDS programmes is done on the basis of NEET UG. Candidates have been admitted to the NITTE University B.Arch programme through a valid score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
For admission to remaining UG courses, candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the merit in the qualifying exam. In my opinion, the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology is a much superior college to the competition. This is due to the college's comprehensive, integrated educational programme. Students at this college have access to a wide range of research opportunities. The goal of the college is to produce top-notch mechanical engineering graduates. It incorporates moral principles and critical thinking while utilising contemporary discipline knowledge and equipment. These enable the college to carry out industry-based contacts with its students.
