Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, Kanyakumari also known as NICHE started its journey as an Engineering College in 1989. NICHE received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in 2007 and was designated as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) in 2008. NICHE was accorded Deemed-to-be-University status in 2008 and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
