BE Computer Science and Engineering is a full-time four-year course offered by Panjab University, Chandigarh and Approved by AICTE

The department strongly believes that neither the industry nor the academics alone have the resources to adequately deal with the quest for innovative excellence in this field of computers, for global competitiveness. Hence the Institute-Industry interface programs enable the students to interact constantly with the industries. Equal importance is given to the classroom learning which is meant primarily for the theoretical or conceptual inputs of knowledge on a variety of projects.

The department has excellent computing facilities which include Pentium based computer systems, scanners, servers, multimedia kits, robotics lab, Indy Graphic workstation, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./PwD), conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council. The detailed 45 procedure and other requirements for admission are specified in the Admission Brochure brought out every year.

Admission Details

Admissions to the B.Tech. programmes are made once a year in July based on rank in JEE- (Main), conducted on an All India level by CBSE.

College Infrastructure

PEC boasts a well established architecture which is good for both academic and extra co-curricular activities .. Pec library, labs for all different 11 Btech Branches.. One football ground, basketball court, tennis court and volleyball court. Sports ground as well ..The living spaces are clean and tidy ...I am day scholar but can say hostels are pretty good. In classrooms we have Wifis, smartboards with projectors and whiteboards also...

Overall Its a good college as you get lot of opportunities

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is very old as it is a government institution but the laboratories are world class. In many ways, labs are better maintained and equipped than the classrooms. The college has a large library with 3 big reading halls, providing enough space for students to read and study comfortambly.Class benches have aged overtime and need renovation with projector upgrades. The collage also provides good sports facilities across various disciplines which promotes a balanced student's life.WI-FI connectivity is moderate with internet speed varying across different regions of campus.

College Infrastructure

Most facilities are there for computer science branch. We have library where we can find all the books related to the subjects. The infrastructure is a little old and some more facilities could be there. The hostels and mess are not used by me so can't give a review on that.
