    College Infrastructure

The campus is much smaller than expected..THANKFULLY there is parking area..And the interiors are pretty satisfactory as compared to the AREA.. There is a cafeteria which gives us hygiene food with affordable cost.. Wifi smart boards too are well utilized..The libraries classrooms laboratories are well maintained..

    Academics

I am studying bsc nursing n must say tht the teaching is very good..we have the best of the lecturers.. the curriculum we are studying is really updated to best of are knowledge and it is helpful foa a better career..

    Placements

Placement quality till now one of the best..Most students who wish for taking placement from college are always placed..Highest salary package min 12lacks per yer..Average salary package min 7-8lacks per year..

    Value for Money

The fee is unnecessarily high..BUT I thing it's okay to pay this much fee for college as they are giving us the best facilities..

    Campus Life

Campus is all good.. And students can engage in all the activities.. Location is good as it's nearest to a hospital and bus stands. . So it ts easily handled during emergency situations

    Others

If u think to do future in medical line Sum nursing college is preferable for you..And i am sure that the faculty would also be one of the reasons why anyone would want to be recommended into the college..

    SOA, a sugarcoating of expectations

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Campuses are divided across the city as per the specialties at SOA. Like engineering has a separate campus and management has a separate one. So the infrastructure is divided and you do not get to avail of all the facilities. The classrooms are generic and you do not get smart classes or boards. The librabry is the best one in the state. There are no sports centre on any campuses though. The hostels are basic. There is a food court on campus 1. Wifi is available on campus.

    Academics

The SOA university is the 21st best university as per NIRF rankings 2019, so it's a pretty good option. And the quality of teaching is conservative with updated carriculum though. Recently ML/AI was added to 6th semester curriculum. The curriculum do not make you job ready.

    Placements

If you are from CSE/CSIT branch, one thing that I can gurantee is that you will be placed. Almost 80% students geet placed from engineering summing up all the barnches. Highest was 20 lpa(CSE). With average CTC of 3.5lpa.package. The college is supportive.

    Value for Money

Per year you will be caharged 2.3 lacks only for academics. And hostel charges are 42k/year. The money's worth is relative and completely depends and varies from person to person. And people measure their money's worth through the gauge of placements packages they get. So l think that it is completely variable.

    Campus Life

The campus life is bleak. There are clubs and other student's activities that you can engage in and add some extra curriculum to your resume. The teachers and the support staff are conservative and traditional. They don't support radical approach.

    Others

I would suggest that SOA should not be your 1st choice and if you accidentally land here, don't panic, you will survive.

Have a question related to Siksha 'O' Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar ?

    Dear Aspirant,

    SOA:-

Placements: Majority of students placed during the campus placement in the college. The highest package was around 21LPA (Lacs per annum) and average package was around 4.5LPA for last year. Top recruiting companies are like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant etc. Campus Placements is good in this college.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are quite decent in this college. Wi-Fi is present in the campus of college. Library is a multistorey building consists of E-library, Computer lab etc. Quality of facilities is good enough in the hostels. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities is available for 24hrs for the students.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable too. Their teaching quality is very good. Some of teachers taught in this way as we are school student and teach us in that nicely manner. The course curriculum is very relevant and also it makes the student industry ready. Semester exams are not so much difficult in this college.
