SJC is known for its iconic stone building, but giving all the modern day facilities. The classrooms and the entire campus is well equipped for all amenities like wifi, canteens, etc. making student's life easier.
The college has a very vast yet comprehensive syllabus which helps you to learn and grow personally in whichever domain you choose. Personally, EMS is an excellent course with nicely designed curriculum, especially for eco and stats.
SJC offers good placements but not the best. The college makes sure that it's students are placed well and they have a financially secured future. Each domain gets good and reputed companies with pretty decent packages.
St. Joseph's College has been recently renovated and consists of ample space for both academics as well as non-academics. The institute is fully packed with all the modern-day amenities to help both students and teachers.
The syllabus of the institute is pretty well-designed and structured for almost all the courses in all major domains. It covers all possible layers that are needed for the overall development of an individual.
St. Joseph's College is well known for placing its students in known companies with different salary packages. Good companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., come as a part of SJC's campus placement drive.
The college has an a well-furnished infrastructure with all modern-day amenities. It includes all the equipments and tools necessary for smooth functioning of the college, be it academical or non-academical.
I'm presently in the final year of BSc in Economics Mathematics and Statistics and it is one the highly opted course in SJC. The curriculum is well built to ensure practical knowledge of these subjects.
The placement cell of the institute is quite active and supportive to their students in getting them placed. They bring in a lot of job and internship opportunities for their students across all streams.
The college has excellent infrastructure, with all amenities required to make student's life easy and fill their life with Joy. This include everything like smart classrooms, superb labs, for all, cafeteria, etc.
SJC is itself a brand when it comes to academics and hence has amazing faculty with practically designed syllabus. I'm presently pursuing BSc EMS and it is one of the best when it comes to St. Joseph's College Bengaluru.
The college has a reputed placement record, where students have been even placed in Microsoft and Facebook. Being a final year student, I can surely tell that, we are having a plenty of job opportunities.
The college is a Jesuit institution and hence it is extremely pocket friendly. I definitely feel that every penny I invested has twice the return with quality of education, faculty and amazing placement cell.
The campus is extremely happening, with activities going on DAILY, yes DAILY. One can easily engage and have the fun for the day. I haven't found anything negative and probably I have enjoyed my best days here.
College has all the necessary equipment but nothing to fancy like smart boards in all rooms. The library is large and house a myriad of books. The sports facilities include and are not limited to an indoor basketball court, a gym etc which are amazing. The living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic.
I'm studying BCom because I wish to pursue CA and bcom helps me by having similar subjects. the quality of teaching is pretty good but there are a few teachers who face difficulty in conveying their knowledge to the students. The curriculum is updated and a few subjects surely prepare us for the real thing that we will have to face in the future.
The quality of placements is good from what I have heard but I do not have much knowledge as to the percentage of students placed or the packages recieved as I am more focused on my chartered accountancy course.
My course costs around sixty five thousand and change. I feel that there is scope for improvement to get my money's worth. The departments are not particularly interested in enhancing student experience especially the sports department, plus they care for lab maintenance fees etc which a commerce student like myself, does not use.
The college campus is good but not IIT good. It's best feature is that it's located in Langford road, very close to MG road and is accessible by metro. It's worst feature is that, the auditorium is a long walk from our block, so it creates a lot of chaos and confusion. The location is safe and can handle emergencies.
The college is overall good and comparitively better than most colleges that offer a bcom course. It also provides a good campus which at that price range isn't offered by many others. The teachers are also pretty helpful and knowledgeable.
The college infrastructure is good , the college has 4 blocks out of which 1 block is has canteen , 2 indoor basketball court , table tennis , karram , badminton and a gym for students to stay fit. And the other 3 blocks are used for academic purposes and all those 3 blocks are well connected .
The study in st . Joseph is good , the teachers provide with study material and provide notes to the students. The teachers are supportive towards students who find it difficult to cope up in studies and they try to give everyone equal chances.
I really don't know much about placements in my college about my course because I have just entered the 2nd year and placements start from 3rd year , but I've heard from my seniors that the placements are okay.
The campus life is good , there are alot of fest happening in the college and alot of eating joints from out come and set up stalls inside the college .
Has a good library and other laboratory infrastructures. Gym facility and other sports infrastructure are available in the campus. Waste boxes are kept for degradable and non degradable wastes in the campus. Waste management is taken seriously.
I studied HEP course. History department had only one permanent faculty. The department needs more Faculties and initiatives to cultivate passion and love for History. Political Science and Economics have more than one facilities.
Science background students were placed in MNCs . Placements were few in Arts. The placement cell of our college tried their best in improving the placements. Computer science students are placed well.
Eighteen thousand for HEP Course in all three semesters. Extra 6000 rupees was paid for the second language , Additional English. (French, German and additional english coated extra 6000 rupees.) If you take any Indian language like tamil, hindi or kannada, you do not have to pay the 6000 rupees. My course was worth the money, i spent. I do not find it a costly course.
While my study during 2015-18 the college, started it construction activities of many new buildings inside the campus. Still, we got to spend our college lives infront and in the canteen, the arude block, and near the dolphin canteen. The english department has a good number of student friendly teachers. The department is known for it good rapo with the students. The college is situated in the heart of Bangalore. Traffic is big problem, when classes start early mornings.
The college has shaped with new infrastructures and innovative teaching practices. The performing arts society in the campus is a new initiative of the college.
As per a student's need my college got all the proper requirements there are all the requirements. Campus can be maintained in a better way but facilitates the students with all necessary needs. All the food provided are hygienic and clean
Right now Persuing undergraduation degree in st Joseph college of commerce, Bangalore. Doing BBA and right now in second year . Quality of teaching is average and understandable . Feel it's updated and understandable
Many companies come for placements but only a few students are selected after conducting numerous rounds of selection. I think highest package offered was around 4-6 lakhs per annum. Average salary offered is 15k per month if I am not wrong
Since I am a NRI it cost almost 2lakhs for my course . I don't think it's needed for any college to collect according to the students background.
It's not huge neither small. Could do better but provides perfect space for a student's happiness. It can handle emergencies since it's located in the heart of the city.
Overall happy with my college life
