Yes my college has all the required facilities. Livingspace is clean enough. The canteen established in the college which provides snacks and food to the children are hygienic enough and even the support staff our kind library Sports Centre hostels etc are all good
B. Com(H) Excellent quality of teaching Yes i think it is up to date even the recent developments in the field and even the amendments brought in due to covid-19 all are updated in our study curriculum and we are made job ready
Ya the placements offered are good enough The placement process is easy process is easy and pleasant for the students the college and the college staff are very supportive the companies which come m offer jobs to the student are well established enough.
At around 50k per year No i am not satisfied more facilities personalised guidance should be enabled.
Students can engage in all types of sports they want to. College even has a centralised air conditioned library for us. The teachers and support staff are kind and helpful and guide the students in a proper manner. Yes it can handle all kinds of emergency situations which crops up.
I studied at the Park Street Campus. The infrastructure of the College is average. The basic amenities are met but the facilities in terms of having sports grounds and state of the art classrooms / laboratories are missing
The teachers at the Park Street Campus were generally well reputed. However there were some teachers who were strictly below par in terms of subject knowledge which forms the basic criteria for a Institute with great reputation.
In terms of a Bachelor's Degree there were certain good companies coming in for hiring however the percentage of students getting placed was pretty low. The reason might have been most students at St. Xavier's have higher educational goals and do not opt for a job yet certain willing students were also left behind.
The cost of pursuing is degree at St. Xavier's is pretty reasonable considering it's national reputation. There is certainly room for improvement and with the new New Town campus opening with much better infrastructure I can certainly see the value for money going up.
The campus life is enigmatic with multiple student clubs and councils actively organizing competitions and fests. Students can be assured of personality development and networking at the buzzing campus.
Yes, this college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. the facilities in classrooms libraries sports centers and hostels for eg. WiFi, smart boards are well-maintained and they have an e-book facility as well. The living spaces are clean, not sure about the canteen as the college is closed due to pandemic, we never got to try that.
B.com HONS, because this college has a morning facility which helps to utilize the rest of the day more effectively eg. for CA students or students who has to attend other part-time works or courses. Yes, the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.
I am not sure about that as I m still in 1st sem.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Rs. 100000 (approx) . Teaching is effective and easy to understand. Teachers go below avg. level to meet the student's understanding. Many opportunities to understand the real world better while being embraced by the university. etc
many cultural events take place throughout the year and helpful faculty members
The infrastructure could be better but it's not the worst of all. The canteen is a place to improve. The library is one of the best and the classroom could be improved as well. It's really old. The washrooms is another place where improvement can be done.
The academics is very theoretical and the teachers follow the same teaching standards and methods of the old times. I have also seen discrimination on the basis of marks and classification of first benchers and last benchers.
I cannot comment on this as I am an undergraduate. The requires 200 characters so this is me writing anything just to fill this part. Their is a placement cell in the college but I don't know how effective it is.
The cost is around Rs. 50,000 per year and according to me I am getting enough features for this amount.
Being in the morning section which is all boys, I have the worst campus Life.
No thank you.
The college is clean and has lift and ac facilities. We also have nice and big classrooms and projectors in every classrooms. We also have hygienic and delicious food and affordable prices. The hostel is amazing and very clean with good mess.
As an English Hons. student, the teachers are really helpful here and teach us everything in great depth. They are always ready to help us and the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent changes.
I have no knowledge about placements but they have helped in getting internships and growing or resumes. As far as I know the placement was conducted peacefully and good amount of students were placed.
For one semester our fees is 48 thousand. The facilities and infrastructure provided is nice and gives good value for money. We also have scholarship programs for students. Overall it is good and fine.
The college campus is amazing and provides loads of experience for students. We have different societies and teacher and students are supportive. The location depends on the individual. It is completely safe and can handle emergencies.
St Xavier’s University has an excellent infrastructure that caters specifically to the needs and demands of the students all around the academic year. The university is equipped with strong WiFi and the classes all use smart boards.
St Xavier’s University professors are well equipped with the study material and uses different methods in order to teach the same to the entire class. Our curriculum includes contemporary topics that are needed during current times.
St Xavier’s University has a placement department that helps students attain internships and job offers. Upon registering, one can expect to do the necessary work and contact the required personnel to attain the same.
My course costs about 50 thousand rupees per semester. With the proper infrastructure, helpful faculty members, library and student lounges, I believe the money though a little challenging is worth it.
Infrastructure is good (with common room, games room, AC buses for anyone who wants to avail them, sports centres, hostels, computer labs, cafeterias, a separate student WiFi connection, etc) except for the library, it has very peculiar rules along with loads of empty shelves. Highly disappointing for a Xavier’s level university. The campus, however, is spotless clean and very well maintained with separate amenities even in the women’s washroom.
I am doing bachelors in English honours and our department has a very good and strong faculty who are well informed and experienced in their field of work. Classes are mostly good and sometimes professors go out of their way to make them better and more progressive than just lecturing and noting.
There is a placement cell which allows students to look into internships while studying, along with job placements post graduation. Although, that is all I know of it. The cell caters to the needs of all kinds of students from all kinds of departments when it comes to internships and you can ask them to look into specific internship programmes you are interested in.
Considering the infrastructure provided by the college with the exception of the library and the course I opted for, I would consider it value for money.
Campus is very poor because the rules and regulations are very strict and students are hardly allowed outside the classroom. My course has five hours of classes per day, five days a week and attendance is given top priority. Students cannot leave the classroom during class hours and cannot even sit according to their own will inside the classroom, we are required to sit roll numbers wise. In a nutshell, there is hardly any campus life at all.
If you go to college thinking it’s a school and not a college, you will not be frustrated or disappointed. The professors are friendly and supportive, and the students are not unfriendly and don’t bully.
We have amphitheatre classrooms , big labs and spacious classrooms. Hostels are clean and tidy . 24 hrs WiFi is available even in the hostel room of each student . The food provide by mess is tasty and of good quality.
The course curriculum is very much relevant to the needs of the job market . The professor's are highly qualified with a detailed knowledge in various doamin . They are always there to solve doubts of student .
Almost 95 percent of batch get placed every year. EY , Srei , Godrej , dabour , HDFC are the top recruiters . Also every student get internship via college. The placement cell of my college is best ..
Fess structure of my college is average . Total fees for a BA pursuing student is around 3.3 to 3.9 lacks per annum. But the fees for the MBA student is quite high . It is all around 10.75 lacks per annum.
Campus life is awesome in this College. Sevral cultural as well as sports events are organised in our college . The feast is SRIJAN which is held in the month of August. Also we are giving a heartwarming fresher.
The faculty of this collecge is soo cooperative and also even non teaching staff . There is complete etiquette in the campus . The most interesting part is that seminars are held almost every week ...
The college is fully equipped with the modern infrastructural set up. Be it Wifi, Smart classrooms, Computer labs, or the much sought after Fr Lafont observatory. The campus is clean with high standards of hygiene.
Being the first autonomous college under University of Calcutta, St Xaviers has set a very high standards for curriculum by introducing the CBCS courses that has now been adopted by the University of Calcutta.
The institution has a fully functional set up placement cell which offers placement services to its students once they reach the final year of their courses. Various organisations such as Big Four firms like EY, Deloitte etc visits the campus every year to hire exclusive talents.
College infrastructure of St. Xaviers is very good. Classes have all the basic and modern facilities inluding projectors. Libraries are big enough. Also u can accessnto library through online portal. Wi-fi is there all around campus. The living spaces is clean and food provided in canteen is also hygienic
I am studying bcom specializing in accounts and finance or bcom Honors. The quality of teaching is very good, the teachers are qualified with doctorate degree. maximum use of technology is done to educate student well. Yes the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.
The placement provide over here is best of all. Students get to go to biggie company like deloitte, exide , infosys etc. Placement cell help students and make the process a lot simpler and easy. Average salary offered here is 4 lacs per annum.
The course cost rs 115000 per annum. I feel i get the value of money because of the teachings we get, friends we make and exposure to get. Financially speaking , ROI is good seeing the placement package we get.
The college life is just amazing. One of my best moment in collge is when is when I have showcased my talent to more than 100 people because of cultural group. There are lot of cultural group and societies student can take actively part on. The student, teacher and support staff are very good. The location is very prime and ccan handle all emergencies
