St Xavier's University, Kolkata offers various types of facilities to its students, faculty and working staff members. SXUK hostel facilities include separate hostel rooms for both boys and girls with necessary amenities. St Xavier's University sports facilities include a large playground for the students to play basketball, football, shuttlecock, throw ball, volleyball and cricket. The university has a library that includes a wide collection of books, magazines, journals and newspapers. Apart from this, there are various types of St Xavier's University, Kolkata campus facilities available such as auditorium, laboratories, cafeteria, Wifi, gym and many more.

Boys Hostel
The University has hostels for Boys with a capacity of 300 each. St Xavier's University, Kolkata hostel rooms are provided with all required amenities. The hostel menu provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Girls Hostel
SXUK has hostels for Girls with a capacity of 300 each. The hostel mess provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Each hostel room has a separate and fully covered balcony.
Laboratories
St Xavier's University laboratory facility has a special computer lab with all types of equipment needed for the students to gain their practical knowledge. The MAC lab is also there for the students of the Department of Mass Communication.The University has a special computer lab, and also a language lab.

The University has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff which helps them to access the topics easily and understand the concepts quickly. SXUK provides 24/7 speed wifi facilities.
Library
The St. Xavier's University Library is well equipped with modem facilities and resources (print and electronic) in the form of online databases, micro-documents, books, journals, reports, etc. It has also developed a full-fledged Digital Library equipped with necessary modem equipment in order to provide various digital mode Library services.
Classrooms
SXUK has an air-conditioned classroom for the students which includes Galleries, Amphitheatres, Halls of Fame and other classrooms.

St Xavier's University has an auditorium facility for the students and faculty members to perform events and seminars.
Cafeteria
SXUK cafeteria serves hot and hygienic food to the students at affordable prices. Students are permitted to visit the canteen during the short and long breaks and before or after class hours only.
I.T Infrastructure
St Xavier's University Kolkata has a special computer lab and MAC lab exclusively meant for the department of mass communication with licensed software.
Gym
The University has Gym facilities for the students with all the types of equipment needed for the students to maintain their physical fitness. SXUK gym facility may also offer other services such as nutritional advice, physical therapy, or wellness programs.
Sports
St Xavier's University Kolkata has sports facilities which include a basketball court, volleyball court, badminton and tennis court for its students to play outdoor games. The University also provides rooms for indoor games to play carroms, table tennis and others

College Infrastructure

The university offers a modern campus with well equipped facilities like air conditioned class rooms, a sprawling library and separate hostel for boys and girls. Campus also provides amenities like cafeterias , gym indoor outdoor sports facilities.

Over all a decent experience and will recommend.

College Infrastructure

My over all experience at Xavier's University was good. The college infrastructure is up to date with spacious classrooms and amphitheater. We had special computer labs and projectors for our daily classes. Campus was always kept clean and hygienic with proper washrooms and catered to women's menstruation needs.

College Infrastructure

Around 70% of students get placed just after completing there graduation. The lowest is around 3 lakhs, the median package is around 9 lakhs, and the highest is 22 lakhs. Most of the companies visit the campus.

To help you I can provide the syllabus and question format of the exam. The syllabus is as follows-

The candidates are expected to have proficiency in English and will be tested on English language competency, knowledge of literary theories and essential literary skills and abilities. The questions are mainly based on the syllabus of undergrad syllabus.

The question pattern is as follows

Essay (1000 words) – 25 marks
Poetry Comprehension/Analysis/Evaluation of thematic and critical style – 25 marks

Is admission in St. Xaviers, Kolkata to opt for UG course is done on the basis of overall 12th board percentage(general) or on the basis of marks obtained in particular subject in boards with respect to the course to opt for.
