Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University (TNMGRMU) Chennai is a government medical university. MGR Medical University was established in the year 1988 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. MGR Medical University is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC) and recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
MGR University offer admissions to M.Sc, PGD, Fellowship and Ph.D courses based on the merit of the previous qualifying examinations. MGR University offer courses in sciences and medicinal & allied sciences streams. MGR University courses include MD Immuno Haematology and Blood Transfusion, M.Sc Epidemiology, and PG Diploma in HIV AIDS at postgraduate level and Fellowship in Clinical Immunology, and Ph.D degree programmes at the doctoral level. Hi there,
All MBBS graduates must complete 1 year mandatory internship to complete their undergraduate course and be able to practice in the medicine field or go for higher studies. If you complete your MBBS degree at Coimbatore Medical College, you will have to do your internship at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital itself. And if you study at GMC ESI Medical College, then you have to do your internship at GMC ESI Medical College Hospital, Coimbatore. All medical colleges have their hospitals where students have to do their internship.
