Tripura University: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Tripura University is a central public university established in 1987. The university was initially established as a state university. In 2007, it was upgraded to a central university under the Tripura University Act, 2006 as enacted by the Parliament. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). With a CGPA of 2.63, NAAC has accredited the varsity with a ‘B’ grade. 

Tripura University provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses. To gain admission in courses offered by Tripura University, candidates need to appear for the Tripura University Entrance Test (TUET) conducted by the university. The varsity also accepts CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores for admission to the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) programme. The topper students of 10+2 of Tripura Board of Secondary Examination and graduates of Tripura University respectively are exempted from the TUET. 

Tripura University has collaborated with various institutions and industries to provide quality education to students. A well-established placement assistance cell is there to provide placements to students. The students of Tripura University Suryamaninagar can avail of various state-level and national-level scholarships. The campus of the university has accommodation facilities, a library, and playgrounds for students.
