AIST Dehradun, being a recognised centre for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, follows a merit-based admission process for every programme being offered. AIST is committed to quality education and selects able and motivated students through a structured admission procedure. AIST Dehradun offers 10 courses across 4 degree programmes, with a total of 540 students' intake capacity.
AIST Dehradun admissions take place following state & central university counseling processes. Aspiring candidates need to appear for an entrance examination, which is a quality check to ensure only academically fit candidates are admitted into AIST. The entrance examination, therefore, forms an essential part of the selection process to help the institute maintain its high academic standards.
Usually, the admission cycle runs simultaneously with the academic calendar of state and central universities. Specific dates may vary every year; thus, students are advised to stay updated with the institute's official declarations on application deadlines, entrance exam dates, and result declarations. The admission system is, therefore, comprehensive in nature, with AIST admitting candidates based on academic performance, entrance exam score, and overall merit.
