Akal College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sirmour Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Library with 60 computers and seats 250 students for studying in a very calm and quiet environment. More than 25,000 books by national and international authors are on the shelves, besides access to curriculum-based videos and web courses through NPTL and MIT courses wares. In addition to this, there are more than 300 CDs/DVDs on different subjects. The Library subscribes to 54 national and international technical journals, magazines, and periodicals along with national and regional dailies to keep the students abreast with the latest developments around the globe. At present, the Eternal University library is more than a conventional library for its information sources and services with Wi-Fi facilities available on the computers installed in the library and on personal laptops with separate seating arrangements, therefore, to convert the conventional library into a hybrid library. Total automation of the library is in the process of implementation through ERP. The timing is from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm on all working days and 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on holidays 

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

A well-equipped medium size auditorium with a stage, seating capacity of 200, and an anteroom is available to the faculty and students for organizing seminars, symposia, and, departmental functions (welcome or farewell parties) It is fitted with an LCD projector and motor-operated screen and inbuilt sound system.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has a convenience store facility for students. (like photocopying facility & stationery etc.)

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The campus has a branch of leading bank 'State Bank of India' along with a 24x7 ATM facility at walking distance in the centre of the premises. The branch is CBS enabled and extends all banking facilities and schemes to customers, which are available at any other branch in cities. 

There are two main girls' hostels. One is specifically for Nursing college students and the other for the rest of the university's girl students. The Nursing Girls hostel has 66 triple bedrooms and 24 double rooms in a six-story building. Each floor has a common washroom. In addition to this, there is a visitor room, reading room, recreational room, store, and an interfaith hall. There is a canteen providing not only tea and drinks but also delicious food of choice to the students. The dining hall is very spacious. There are security personnel deployed at the gate of the hostel all the time.

The college has a transport facility for students and staff.
