Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna, is one of the well-known institutes for pharmacy education in India, and Kerala in particular. Al Shifa College of Pharmacy offers an entire purse of pharmacy courses, from undergraduate to postgraduate and doctoral levels. Al Shifa College of Pharmacy conducts the admission procedure with a definite aim of identifying and selecting deserving candidates for various pharmacy courses offered there. Different admission processes are being followed for different courses at the college, to ensure that only the most qualified students enter a given program. The beginning of an academic session is usually in August-September, and the admission process starts a few months before that.

The admissions process for undergraduate programs such as B.Pharma and D.Pharma is primarily done on the basis of merit lists. Thus, candidates are selected through their overall academic performance in the qualifying examinations. The college considers the marks obtained from the 10+2 or equivalent examination. Marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Math would gain a bit more weightage in this case. Other Postgraduate programs such as M.Pharma specializations and Pharm.D have another admission process. These admissions are through the centralized counseling process organized by the Kerala State Self Financing B.Pharm Management Association (KSSBCMA).

Application Process

For B.Pharma and D.Pharma :

1. Application forms can be downloaded from the college website and can be obtained from the admission office. 
2. Fill out the application form with accurate personal and academic details.
3. Attach all required documents, including 10+2 mark sheets, transfer certificate, and other relevant certificates.
4. Submit the completed application form along with the required fee to the college admission office before the deadline.

For M.Pharma and Pharm.D :

1. Register for Centralized Counseling Process by KSSBCMA.
2. Fill out the application form online on the KSSBCMA portal.
3. All essential documents should then be uploaded according to the guidelines in the application.
4. Pay the application fee through an online media. 
5. Attend the counseling session per schedule announced by KSSBCMA.

For Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate :

1. Obtain the application form from the college website.
2. Fill the form with personal information, academic qualifications, and scores obtained in GPAT (if applicable). 
3. Attach self-attested copies of the B.Pharm degree certificate, mark sheets, and other relevant documents.
4. Submit the completed application form to the college admission office before the specified deadline.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma : B.Pharma at Al-Shifa College of Pharmacy has a total intake capacity of about 100 seats. Admission to the four-year undergraduate course is made based on the merit list released after considering the performance of the candidate in qualifying examinations (10+2 or its equivalent). The fee of the design is around Rs. 392,000.

D.Pharma : The D.Pharma program has provided with 60 seats. The admissions to this diploma course are also made based on the merit list. The total fee for the D.Pharma program is approximately Rs. 80,000.

Pharm.D: Al Shifa College of Pharmacy offers 30 seats for the Pharm D program. KSSBCMA's centralized counseling is used for conducting admissions to the six-year doctoral program. The Pharm.D program would cost around Rs. 1,200,000.

M.Pharma: The college offers M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and Pharmacy Practice. Each specialization has 18 seats, apart from Pharmacy Practice, where there are 10. All selections for M.Pharma programs are made through a centralized selection and admission process by KSSBCMA.

Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate : 10 seats are available in this program. The admission procedure shall be based on GPAT rank, state-level entrance test rank, or B.Pharm percentage. Hence, there are diverse channels through which students may be considered for eligibility.

Commonly needed documents for all programs:

• 10th and 12th mark sheets;
• Transfer certificate (TC);
• Migration certificate (if applicable);
• Caste Certificate (for reserved category candidates);
• GPAT scorecard (applicable for applicants in M.Pharma and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate).

• Any other certificates or documents specified by the college or KSSBCMA.
