The campus offers top-notch infrastructure with advanced laboratories for drug development and genetic research. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with the latest technology. The library is rich in academic resources, and the campus includes green spaces that promote a calm study atmosphere.
The academics here are rigorous, with a curriculum designed to provide a deep understanding of biotechnology and pharmacy. Faculty members are experienced researchers who bring cutting-edge knowledge into the classroom. The emphasis on research projects enhances the learning experience.
The college has a strong placement record in both pharmacy and microbiology, with many students securing jobs in leading companies. The placement team provides excellent support, including mock interviews and workshops, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the recruitment process.
The college infrastructure is just mediocre. The wifi is very slow. The mess is always under construction. The library does not have any AC. The labs are okay. Though they will make you do lots of stupid things.
I am studying B.Tech in AI. The academics is moderate. The teachers won't be of much help. Self study is needed. PPTs are shared by most teachers. Some teachers are very bad. Lots of assignments and quizzes.
Placements are okay enough. They bring a lot of companies but mostly in the range of 5-7lpa CTC. More focus is given to placements of the CSE batch and core batches struggle a lot for placements. The CIR dept is okay.
It is good of you get a scholarship. It's not worth it to pay the full management quota amount that a lot of people pay here. There is no real exposure here. Research is shit, don't go with what they say on their websites.
The college infrastructure is definitely top tier. We had projector enabled classrooms with a fully WiFi enabled campus. Hostel rooms are quite spacious and house up to 4 students per room. There are well maintained sports facilities as well. The food offered in Mess facilities and Canteens is pure vegetarian, but there are several good restaurants nearby for non - vegetarians as well.
The faculty all had a lot of industry experience and there were tie-ups with IITs and several universities abroad which meant that we had access to excellent coursework, student exchange programs and internship opportunities. I think that academic opportunities offered were undoubtedly the best part of attending Amrita. There are several research labs funded by Government and Gates foundation grants and it is a great place to apply for dissertation project opportunities.
Bioinformatics students did receive some placement opportunities in corporate sector. The CTC offered was 3.6-4.5 LPA and the placement process was quite smooth. Most students in Biotechnology courses preferred to go in for research opportunities with labs all over the country post their course completion and the faculty were quite helpful with the application process and in putting students in touch with mentors in their chosen field of interest.
The course fee was about 1.2 lakhs per year when I was pursuing my Masters. I think that it was quite worth it because the academic content was excellent and the faculty was top notch. I think that Amrita is easily the best choice in Kerala for pursuing Biotechnology and Microbiology courses.
The campus is situated in a fairly remote location by the sea. If you enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life, this wouldn't be the place for you. There's a lot of greenery and it is very peaceful. There are guards at all the gates and it is quite safe. Locals are quite friendly and most of the faculty stay on campus as well.
I had a great time studying at Amrita and have very fond memories with my batch mates there. The campus was one of the finest in South India undoubtedly. For students chasing strong academic foundation and eager to go into research, it would be a great choice. If you want to have a great balance between academics and enjoying college life, you might be better off considering one of the other campuses of Amrita or colleges in other locations as this campus is in quite a remote location.
we have several computer labs which holds a great capacity with well equipped wifi all around the campus we also have a gym, volley ball court, basketball courts etc the hostels are pretty basic ones but they will be maintained well.
the syllabus is excellent almost all the teachers are well qualified friendly and helpful . they will guide you in everything . but finally it will depends on your level of interest that you will show .
there wont be guaranteed 100 placement but if the student has the capability to achieve a job he can be place easily they conduct experiments in labs and there will be more number of internships where students can take place.
College infrastructure is so good!! Hostels and classrooms are all well maintained. Our college got a huge library with a wide collection of books( both research oriented and normal books). Sport centre is not that good actually!!
Quality of teaching is pretty good. Actually we have to facilitate the wide variety of opportunities they are providing. All the faculties are well experienced and they got a good knowledge in their respective domains!!
So good. Our college provides almost 90% above placements each year. They got a very good CIR team which takes care of all the placement related activities in the campus. CIR offers placement training too which most of the other colleges lack
Amrita Certificate got a huge value in the industry. Eventhough the fees is high, it is worthy since the University got a huge respect worldwide. It's perfectly value for money considering all the factors.
Average. Campus life is not that good. Basically it's more like of a school. But to an extent, it is good so that we are not deviated from the main purpose of joining the college. Eventhough the campus life is not that extraordinary, all the tech and cultural fests are so exciting.
I enjoyed lot in the campus . There are lot of games and every year there will be spots meet this is open for every student in the campus. every place in the campus will be very clean and hygienic. there will be assigned one faculty for every activity in campus.
I am studying chemical engineering because now every part of our life is linked with some chemicals , there are lot of opportunities in the market for chemical engineers. In Amrita there are well qualified staff and very high enquipment in the labs .
Every year lot of people are qualifying in the placements . many companies will come for the taking students to their companies.85% of people are people are placed every year . the highest salary offered in 2019 is 58.2lakh/annum. average salary is 12lakh/annum
2lakh/annum . The cost id high in Amrita because staff is highly qualified and the lab are filled with very high equipment. There will be many activities for every festival so cost is high in Amrita
Collage campus is best. student can join whatever he is interested in . every staff is engaged with one activity and under that faculty 100 students will be there for every activity
Amrita is very good platform for higher studies. there will lot off opportunities for students
Hello aspirant,
There is a management quota you can join only if you have given a written eligibility test conducted by Amrita University. Without an entrance exam, chances are very less. Selection of seats in this quota is mostly done based on board marks.
Thank you
