The Aryabhatta School of Earth Sciences traces its origin to 2009, Silchar. A constituent college of Assam University, this institution specialises in earth sciences education and research. It occupies a sprawling campus spread over 600 acres, thus offering adequate space for academic and research activities. With a faculty strength of 3 dedicated professionals, the school runs 2 degree programmes in Applied Geology at the postgraduate and doctoral levels. The institution offers two full-time courses in Applied Geology. M.Sc. Applied Geology is two-year program with 31 students' intake capacity, while six-year research-oriented Ph.D. Applied Geology programme is prescribed.
