BCACS Pune Admission Process

Balaji College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Pune (BCACS Pune) is a reputed institution. The college offers undergraduate programs in arts, commerce, and management studies. The admission process in the college is merit-based, so that only the deserving candidates are selected for its various programs. BCACS Pune is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for its academic excellence.

The admission cycle of BCACS Pune is usually during the academic calendar of Savitribai Phule Pune University. Although dates may vary each year, it opens its admissions roughly sometime after 12th standard results declaration, usually in May-June. Most of the undergraduate courses at BCACS Pune allow admissions by passing with an excellent percentage of 10+2 or Higher Secondary. The prime criterion for selection for admission in such courses is marks obtained in the qualifying exam. There is no entrance test.

BCACS Pune offers a total of 353 seats across the different undergraduate programs of the college. Student gender distribution at the college is nearly an even mix; there are males taking up 56% of all students and females 44%.   • Character certificate issued by the previous institution
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Any other certificates or documents mentioned in the admission brochure

5. Payment of application fees as determined by the college and application instructions note whether online payment or offline. The deadline of submission will also be indicated therein.

6. Submit the required documents along with the completed form before the established deadline.

7. After submission, follow up on your application by contacting the college website or through other means of communication with the admissions office.

8. If shortlisted, you would have to undertake counseling or an interview session depending on the course and applications received.

9. When the selection procedure is over, you will be intimated by all information with regard to completing the admission formalities. You are required to get your documents attested and submit the fees in the time scheduled.

10. After completion of all the processes, you would receive an admission confirmation letter issued by the college.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B. Com: Total intake capacity of seats at BCACS Pune for B. Com course is 120. Admission for B. Com courses is solely on merit through marks secured in 12th standard examination; the special weightage given to marks obtained in Accountancy, Economics, and Mathematics.

BBA-Bachelor of Business Administration has an intake of 80. Admission is made on merit, similar to that in B.Com. The overall performance of a candidate in his/her 12th standard examination is assessed by the college, with much emphasis on subjects relevant to business studies.

BA: BCACS Pune has 120 seats for its BA program. The specific admission details for BA are not available, but it is most likely that the process is merit-based, taking into account the marks obtained in relevant subjects in the 12th standard examination.

MJMC: The intake for the Master of Journalism and Mass Communication program is 30 seats. This is a postgraduate course, so admission processes may be different from undergraduate courses. Students who have a relevant bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. Admission is probably granted based on the academic performance of the qualifying degree.
