BAM Khalsa College, Garhshankar Admission Process

BAM Khalsa College, Garhshankar is a co-educational institution, it is located in Hoshiarpur District of Punjab. It offers a rich undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum covering arts, commerce, and sciences. Admission at BAM Khalsa College is basically merit-based to enlist only the deserving candidates for different courses. The admissions of this college mostly start at the time of May-June for the forthcoming year. A candidate must apply depending on his/her qualifying examination performance. For undergraduates, admission is measured mainly on the merit attained by the candidate in the 10+2 or its equivalent examinations.

The application procedure at BAM Khalsa College, Garhshankar, goes like this:

1. Obtain Application Form: The candidates can obtain the application from either the college website or the admission office present on campus.

2. Fill the application form: Fill in all mandatory columns in the application form correctly. Ensure each and every personal and academic detail is correctly entered.

3. Attach required documents: Besides filling the application form, candidates must also append the following documents to their applications:

  • Passport-size photographs
  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10+2 for UG courses, Bachelor's degree for PG courses)
  • Character certificate of last institution attended
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable, under reserved category)

4. Submit application: Application form along with required documents compiled should be submitted at the college admission office before the fixed deadline.

5. Prepare merit list: Merit list based on marks obtained in qualifying examination for each course will be prepared by the college.

6. Counseling and admission: The candidates are called for counseling sessions wherein they can prefer their desired course based on their merit rank and seat availability.

7. Fee payment: Subsequently to seat allotment, candidates must deposit the required fee within the stipulated time frame for confirmation of admission.

8. Document verification: The college will verify all original documents during the process of admission. Candidates have to be prepared to show their original certificates and mark sheets for verification.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA (Bachelor of Arts): BAM Khalsa College BA program provides the approved intake of 400 seats. Admissions are done on the basis of the merit list prepared from marks scored in the 10+2 examination. The full fee for the BA program is Rs 64,320.

B.Sc Non-Medical and B.Sc Medical: Each of these programs has an approved intake of 100 seats. Admissions are based on merit lists made from 10+2 results, specifically focused on the science subjects. The total fee for both B.Sc programs is Rs 64,320.

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): The B.Com program has 70 seats reserved for students. Admission is based on merit with regard to the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination, based on comparably commerce-related subjects. The total fee set for the B.Com program is Rs 66,000.

Integrated BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed: There are 100 seats in each of these integrated programs. Admission is done on the merit list formed from 10+2 results.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The BCA program has a total of 40 seats, and admissions will be made based on merit list produced from 10+2 results, especially considering performance in mathematics and computer science subjects.

MA History: This is a postgraduate program, with 60 seats for the program. Admission is made against the marks gained in the related bachelor's degree. The rest of the total fee for this program is Rs 41,000.

M.Sc Mathematics: The M.Sc Mathematics program has a capacity of 60 seats. Admission is granted on the basis of the bachelor's degree score, especially in the mathematics subjects. The total fee for this course is Rs 60,000.

M.Sc Physics, M.Sc Chemistry, and M.Com: Each of these postgraduate programmes offers 40 seats. The admission process is based on marks obtained in the respective bachelor's degree.

PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications): The number of seats available for this program is 30. Admission is based on performance in the bachelor's degree.
