Banarsi Dass Arya Girls' College, Jalandhar, one of the oldest women's colleges in the northern Indian state of Punjab, has a long record. Degree-wise Admission Process

BA Programs- The admission to BA courses including the BA (Honors) in Political Science and English need merit upon 1st come 1st served basis. Students matching eligibility can apply who have completed 10+2 in any stream.

B.Com and BBA: The college considers the score obtained in the 10+2 examination for B.Com (Hons), B.Com Financial Services, and BBA with particular emphasis on those subjects which are related to commerce and mathematics. Admission is merit-based and follows a first-cum-first-served principle.

B.Sc Programs: Admission to B.Sc Medical, B.Sc Non-Medical, B.Sc Computer Science, and B.Sc Economics is based on marks obtained in relevant science subjects in 10+2. The college adheres to the norms of the merit list.

BCA and B.Sc Computer Science: In the case of these technology-driven courses, the college considers the marks in mathematics and computer science (if studied) in the 10+2. Admission is granted on a merit- and first-cum-first-served basis.

Honors Programs: The college offers a variety of programs leading to B.Voc degrees in areas such as Computer Applications, Fashion Designing and Garment Construction, Mass Communication and Video Production, and Functional English. Admissions to every one of these programs are granted on a merit basis taking into consideration the 10+2 marks and are made on the first-come, first-served basis.

To take entry into Postgraduate courses, M.Sc Computer Science, M.Com, MA Dance, and M.Sc Fashion Designing and Merchandising require passing the corresponding bachelor's degree program. The merit and marks earned in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration for admissions.

Diploma and PGD: First come, first served basis is that for admissions into the PGD programs (Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Cosmetology, Garment Construction) as well as diploma programs (Cosmetology, Stitching, and Tailoring).
