Bhagawan Buddha College Of Education was established in the year 2004 at Siddarthanagar Malavalli Town, Mandya District of Karnataka and it is affiliated college. It is a recognized Institute of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and focuses on students interested in teacher education courses. Located on a small plot of 2.5 acres at present this college boasts of 33 students in total and 10 faculty members. Bhagawan Buddha College of Education has only one course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and an approval for enrollment of hundred student, therefore, it is a specialized college for education.

The college offers student learning and development services that include the following: The establishment provides for educational needs through the library and for sports needs through the sports facilities. It is well endowed with a functional and well stocked information technology center for the convenience of the students. Faculty departmental laboratories provide practical training, which is an important addition to knowledge. There is a provision of an auditorium for seminar’s and for other related events in order to build up a more productive academic atmosphere. The college also has a cafeteria where students can find some beverages and have some meals. There is provision of transport facility for both the students and staff to get the campus to ease the transport for teaching and learning.

Bhagawan Buddha College of Education offers only B Ed course which is a two years full time program. This specificity of approach enables the institution focus and channel its resources and skills towards training teaching professionals. The current admission capacity of the B.Ed program is 100 students which accredits the ability of the college in nurturing a good number of potential teachers every year. Unfortunately, the data for the latest year graduation is lacking; however, the current total enrollment stands at 33 therefore the Up-Co can provide more individualized academic attention to each of its students.

Regarding admission procedure, Bhagawan Buddha college of Education follows rules and regulation of State Government, UT administration and the University to which it is attached. They are merit based, where the Applicant is expected to present marks obtained in the qualifying year examination and/or entrance examinations. It may also use other gatekeeping mechanisms that are recommendable by the government and college’s university.
