Namagira Valley Technical College commonly known as RV Teachers College is among the oldest private colleges in India that was founded in 1954 is situated in Jayanagar, Bangalore. This co-education college is recognised by Bangalore University and is imparting exposures to the potential teachers for more than six-‘seven decade. Credited by NCTE, RV Teachers College provides excellent teacher education programs at its small 1.3 acre campus. This means that out of 142 students in the college, there are 13 teachers in tact making the student teacher ratio which is impressive and allows for one on one tuition.

Among facilities available in Namagira Valley Technical College , a number of them seeks to improve the teaching and learning environment of the students. RV Teachers College offers two full-time courses in teacher education: In the country, we take Bachelors of Education B.Ed and Masters of Education M.Ed. The B.Ed programme offered at the institution is a two-year programme, with the capacity to admit one hundred pre-service students The M.Ed programme which is also a two-year programme supports the B.Ed. Such programmes are specifically meant to prepare students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in education to enable them to practice as educators in the future.

Thus, the admission of students at RV Teachers College relies on marks scored in a qualifying examination and an entrance examination. For the B.Ed programme, admission policy of the state government/UT administration, and the university is followed in the college.
