Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provides separate hostels for boys. The hostel rooms are spacious with attached bathrooms and common bathrooms. Common rooms are also available to accommodate financially weak students. The college provides 4 boys hostels namely-  Schwartz Hostel, Gardiner Hostel, Dodson Hostel and C.E. Hostel. 

The college provides five hostels for female students namely Bishop Solomon Doraiswamy Hostel, Bishop Thorp Hostel, Margaret Addicott Hostel, G.H.Launder Hostel and  C.E. Hostel. The hostels are provided with facilities like the dining hall, common room, water, electricity and prayer room. The hostels are allotted to students after completion of the admission process. 

The college provides medical facilities to its students and staff through the Center for Healthcare and Fitness (CHF). The health centre is owned by the College Administration and run by the director of physical education and a single physician,.The health centre has sufficient medical and fitness facilities along with a pharmacy and fitness centre.

The college has a well-maintained Gym facility and fitness centre for the students. The gym provides the required equipment and the ideal atmosphere for maintaining the fitness of students. 

Bishop Heber College has a well-stocked library of 1,28,779 books, 555 rare books, 222 print periodicals, 1917 non-book materials, 479 theses, 10 newspapers, 31,35,000+ e-books and 6000+ e-journals. Students can access subscribed electronic resources from campus and outside the campus.

Bishop Heber College's sports infrastructure includes various grounds, fields and courts. Bishop Heber College sporting facilities for games like cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho, hockey, handball, netball, swimming and tennis are available at the college. The fitness centre is well equipped with modern exercise machinery for weightlifting and powerlifting. Indoor game facilities like chess and table tennis are also available for the students. 

Bishop Heber College provides a well-functioning computer lab with an adequate number of computers. Students can use the IT infrastructure available on the BHC campus through various software, web services and applications. The IT infrastructure helps students know about exam room allotment, hall tickets, internal assessment, attendance and intranet services.

The college provides a canteen facility for staff and students that offers hygienic food. The cafeteria provides a healthy environment and good service to students.

The college has a multi-disciplinary auditorium facility for events, seminars and cultural events. It is well-maintained and has high-tech equipment.

Bishop Heber College provides a transport facility with good connectivity with all parts of the city. The bus service is provided at frequent intervals for picking up Girls students and teachers. The buses provided by BHC Trichy are spacious and well-maintained. for providing pick-up and drop service to students and teachers

The  College provides the Vayalur Branch of the Punjab National Bank to operate with an Extension Counter inside the campus on all working days. Punjab National Bank ATM facility is also available for 24 hours on the campus.
