BNM Institute of Technology has an average campus with multi- utility infrastructure. There is a Wi-Fi support and the labs are well-equipped. The hostel facilities, food facilities, medical services along with the sports activities are below satisfactory levels.

    Placements

The total percentage of the students placed this year is around 49%. The academics is still running and the number will increase by another 20-30% making it reach nearly 60-75%. The average package offered in the college is 10 Lacs with the highest beings is 30 Lacs and the lowest being 5.5 Lacs. Almost all of the students will get internships by the end of this year.

    Innovative skill based curriculum

    College Infrastructure

The only con is the size of the campus; apart from that, the boys hostel is quite far away from the college. Regarding infrastructure, the labs and library are top-notch and way more than sufficient for high progress in learning. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the campus.

    Academics

The faculty are cooperative and give all the support they can. The teachers are sufficiently qualified and knowledgeable. The course prepared is in accordance with current industry standards, and professionals are consulted before framing the curriculum. The semester exams are averagely difficult and perfectly balanced.

    Placements

Placements in our college are consistent and top companies do occasionally visit. Some companies include Deloitte, Adobe, etc. Training for placements is also provided, which helps students immensely. Most students who opt for placements are given the opportunity to do their best.

    College Infrastructure

For college, the infrastructure is not generally liked by students due to being situated near residential areas and also having a very small campus area. Also, labs are decent but they are not that well maintained and all the components may not work so exhanging and all is generally done. Classrooms are decent for mostly all blocks. The hostel is fine but the fees are higher than at nearby PGs and hygiene is not maintained that much.

    Academics

As of now, the professors we've got are highly educated and have a good command in their domain except 1 or 2; majorly all are good. Curriculum is relevant and good for our future needs and to build basic fundamentals for us. The difficulty is pretty much due to the course and the pressure of many theory and practical exams. So, if you're not interested, just think once before joining.

    Placements

Many people from my course take placement in IT jobs, as half of the population coming to our college for this branch is people who are either confused between hardware and software or they prefer software. So, for getting placed in our branch, people need to learn extra skills like DBMS, OS, all coding languages and so on. For core people, you need to work really hard to get placed and need to maintain a good CGPA with practical skills.

    college Well equipped modern labs

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is also good; classrooms are decent, labs are well-maintained, and the library is also good with a good variety of books. The reason I gave 3 stars is that the ground is as big as a kindergarten ground, with very little space and fewer sports facilities. The auditorium and seminar hall are damn good.

    Academics

it is actually good. The teachers are good and helpful. The library has the textbooks we need, and our exams are conducted on tabs, which you mostly can't expect in any other normal private college in Bangalore. Exams are tough, so you need to study daily if you want to survive.

    Placements

Almost 80 percent got placed, and the rest went for higher studies. Actually, electrical batches are also getting good placements. AEEE students got 18.75 LPA, and ECE got around 15 LPA. Both ECE and CSE median packages are also around 7 LPA, which is not bad for core batches in India, especially in normal core branches.

    Campus is good

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of my course was average, with basic facilities like labs and Wi-Fi only provided in labs. A library was also available, but they were not always maintained or up to date. The hostel facilities provided were also very poor, and the canteen food had limited options with average taste.

    Academics

The faculty of my course was moderate in terms of knowledge, but the overall teaching was quite bad. More than conceptual teaching, they believed in memorizing the theory rather than understanding the concepts, and the curriculum is also not updated.

    Placements

The placement scenario was not up to the mark and was quite poor. Only a small percentage of students were placed, with limited companies visiting the campus, and the highest and the lowest packages offered were significantly low. The average package was disappointing as well.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure and the hostel is the only issue of the college. The college lacks proper ground for extra curricular activities. The girls hostel is in the campus and the boys hostel is 2km away. The food is average and Wi-Fi facilities are not good, it does not work all the time.

    Academics

The curriculum is well designed, but only for computer Science branch. This college is a bit strict according to academics. The passing percentage is also around 40%. Teachers are mostly good and there are some who know wrong in a programme and will tell you to debug it yourself whenevee they know how to do it.

    Placements

Placements are good and all of the students get placed. This year the highest package was around INR 32 LPA, and the average package was around INR 6 LPA. This year good companies also came and 3-4 students got placed with INR 16 LPA- INR 22 LPA. College placement cell is very nice, and they work very hard.

Have a question related to BNMIT Bangalore ?

I have got a rank of 19,125 in COMEDK, 2024. Should I take Btech in VLSI in Bangalore Institute of Technology? Or ECE in BNMIT?

    Hello Likhit,

With a COMEDK rank of 19,125, you have some good options to consider. Here’s a comparison to help you decide between pursuing B.Tech in VLSI at Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) and ECE at BNMIT:

B.Tech in VLSI at Bangalore Institute of Technology:

    • Specialization: VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) is a specialized field that focuses on designing and manufacturing integrated circuits. If you're interested in electronics and semiconductor design, this can be a great choice.

    • Job Opportunities: The demand for VLSI engineers is growing, especially in Bangalore, which is a hub for electronics and semiconductor companies.

    • Course Reputation: BIT is known for its engineering programs, and specializing in VLSI can set you apart in the job market.

      ECE at BNMIT:

    • Broader Scope: A degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) offers a broader understanding of various aspects of electronics, communication systems, and embedded systems. It can lead to a wider range of job opportunities.

    • Established Course: ECE is a well-established course, and you’ll have options to pursue careers in various sectors like telecommunications, IT, and robotics.

    • Reputation: BNMIT is also a reputable college, and its ECE program is well-regarded.

      Conclusion:

    • If you are passionate about VLSI and see a future in that niche market, choosing VLSI at BIT could be a wise decision.

    • If you prefer a broader engineering education with multiple career pathways, then ECE at BNMIT might be the better option.

Ultimately, consider your interests, career goals, and the specific curriculum of each program before making your decision.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

    Hello aspirant,

I take it that you're referring to the BNM Institute of Technology. This has been authorised by aicte and is connected with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Since private engineering colleges typically have two off days, so does this one. Although it is stated on the official website that the library is open six days a week, including Saturdays, it is essential to get in touch with the college administration for the class calendar.

    Thank you

    Hope this information helps you.

BNM Institute of Technology has highly experienced faculty for teaching students. They are also very cooperative. The institute organisation extra curricular activities for the all round development of the students. The institute also helps by student in providing the funds for their projects. It also organises various fests. Overall students feel comfortable studying here.

The institute also provides pre placement training to the students so that they can prepare themselves for getting placements. The placement percentage is 85%. The minimum placement package is 4 lakh per annum whereas the highest salary package is 16 lacs per annum.
