Bombay Teachers' Training College, Mumbai Admission Process

Bombay Teachers' Training College (BTTC), Mumbai, is a renowned college committed to making a difference in the education sector. Application Process

The application procedure in Bombay Teachers' Training College is different based on the program:

For B.Ed and D.El.Ed programs:

1. The application procedure is centralized and carried out by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra.

2. Students have to go to the official website of the Directorate to fill in the application form.

3. Provide the necessary documents, which may include:

  • 12th standard certificate and marksheets (for D.El.Ed)

4. Pay the application fee as notified by the college.

For Ph.D. Education:

1. Verify the Ph.D. admission notice on BTTC's website.

2. Be eligible: Masters in Education with NET/SET qualification or PET clearance.

3. Send the application form along with:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The BTTC has a batch strength of 50 students in the B.Ed course. The admission process is centralized and carried out by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra. This helps in having a transparent and merit-based choice of candidates from all parts of the state. The applicants should have passed their graduation course to apply for this course.

D.El.Ed: 50 seats for the D.El.Ed course are provided by BTTC. Admission is mostly centralized, as with the B.Ed course. Still, the college has the quota to directly enroll 10 candidates. This blend of centralized and institutional admission brings a diverse group of students. Eligibility normally involves passing the 12th standard exam.

M.A. Education: M.A. Education admissions are done on a merit basis. It is chosen as per the marks scored in the entrance test in accordance with university and state government regulations. Bachelors from any stream usually qualify to apply.

Ph.D. Education: BTTC provides 40 seats for its Ph.D. in Education program. Candidates with a Masters degree in Education who are either NET/SET qualified or have cleared the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) are eligible for admission. The process of admission can also include further parameters as specified by the institution for choosing the most apt candidates for higher-level research in education.
