Cauvery College for Women, Annamalai Nagar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The hostel is housed in three buildings and named as ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘P.G’ Blocks comprising 245 rooms out of which 219 are marked for students. The rooms are adequately furnished and are provided with mosquito netting and fans. Apart from these, each floor has a water purifier in all the buildings. Presently there are 1207 college students including school students who are studying in Cauvery Matriculation School which is a sister institution of our college.

The Cauvery College has witnessed, during the last quarter century, amazing multi-dimensional growth and development in the Library as the Learning Resource Centre, reflecting upon its collection and access the-state-of-the-art technology in the field of library science thanks to the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) scenario. No academic institution could carry on its study/research programs and projects without a strong/staunch support of the Library as life-force. The Three development phases of the Modern Library are The Paper Library, The Automated Library, and The Electronic library. The CCW Library is a combination of these three.

The college has the sports facilities for all students.

The internet lab is accessed by all the students from all the departments on triangular basis with a fixed schedule of one hour per week during the college hours. The students are also permitted to access the Net lab facility after the college hours. All the labs are completely interlinked with internet connectivity and supported by 45 Mbps leased line internet facility.

A student refreshment centre is available within the campus which provides nutritious food and refreshments to the staff members as well as students.

The college currently provides transportation facilities for the students and staff members by operating 36 buses and 1 van in and around the districts of Trichirapalli.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.

The campus is also fully enabled with Wi-Fi connectivity.

The infrastructure of the lab is extended to all students on a rotation basis with the Internet and the Library. Teaching is supplemented by the use of various Audio-visual aids. This consists of a skilled phone console cabinet, wireless headphones for the students and the teacher, 14 inches color monitor and LCD projector and a screen. The inverter provides power backup during load shedding and power cuts. The lab is air-conditioned to safeguard the sophisticated equipment from dust.

To provide the students with photocopying facilities, a women entrepreneur has been permitted to run a xerox center within the Campus.

An Extension Counter of the KVB Bank is available within the campus for the benefit of students and staff members.
