Admission to these courses typically requires the successful completion of 10+2 from a recognized board. The subject requirements may vary depending on the course of study.
BSW (Bachelor of Social Work): For BSW course, students who have passed 10+2 in any subject are eligible. Stress is laid on the selection of students who are interested in social work and community development.
BJMC (Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication): Eligibility to join the BJMC course is 10+2 pass students from any board. General aptitude for journalism and communication will be useful.
B.Lib.I.Sc (Bachelor of Library and Information Science): This program is usually eligible with a bachelor's degree in any stream since the minimum requirement for eligibility.
M.Com, M.Sc, and MA Programs Postgraduate courses like M.Com, M.Sc (with various specializations like Information Technology, Mathematics, Remote Sensing and GIS), and MA (with subjects like Applied Psychology, Drawing and Painting, Education, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Rural Development, Sanskrit, and Sociology) need candidates to have already completed a corresponding bachelor's degree.
MSW (Master of Social Work): Entrance into the MSW course usually requires a bachelor's degree in any stream, and at times, preference is given to students who have a background in social sciences.
MJMC (Master of Journalism and Mass Communication): Students holding a bachelor's degree in any stream are eligible for the MJMC course. Certain institutes may conduct an entrance test or interview.
