Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, Mysore Admission Process

The Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology, Mysore (CIPET Mysore) comes under the umbrella of a national-level petrochemical engineering and technology institute. This institution is uniquely placed in its activities dedicated to the development and education of technology concerning petrochemicals. CIPET Mysore has dedicated itself to work towards educational excellence in plastics and polymer technology. Admission Process Degree wise

Diploma in Plastic Technology: The duration of this course is three years, full time with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. Admission is on merit by CIPET JEE. Covers Mechanics of Materials; Plastic Material Basics; Processing Techniques in Plastics; Quality Control and Testing of Plastics; among others.

Diploma in Plastics Moulds Technology: This is also a three years full time program with an intake of 60 students and is through CIPET JEE. It involves courses on mold design, manufacturing processes, and recent technologies in plastics molding.

PGD Plastic Processing and Testing: This is a two-year full-time postgraduate diploma program accommodating 30 students. Admission is by CIPET JEE, and it specifically prepares graduates on specialization in plastic processing and testing methodologies.

 Required documents are generally:

  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • Degree certificates and mark sheets (for PGD applicants)
  • Valid ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Photograph of recent passport size.
