CMT B School Visakhapatnam Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The Centre for Management and Technology (CMT B School), Visakhapatnam, as an AICTE-approved autonomous institution. The 2-acre campus provides a harmonious learning atmosphere located right next to the International Cricket Stadium and Panorama Hills. Being mainly into management studies,  CMT B School has put in place an admission process intended to select bright candidates for its programs. The academic year usually begins in July-August, and the admission process starts a few months prior. The candidates are required to appear for any one of the qualifying entrance examinations accepted by the institute.

For its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programs, CMT B School accepts the scores of many national-level management entrance examinations, namely MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT and ATMA. On top of these, the Institute runs the CMT Admission Test. This flexibility to choose from so many exam scores guarantees diverse applicants. The eligibility criteria for candidates to apply for the PGDM program include holding a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. 

Application Process

The application procedure at CMT B School, especially for PGDM, is a multi-step process:

1. Qualifying Exam: Candidates must take one of the accepted entrance examinations (MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, ATMA) or CMT Admission Test.

2. Application: Following the entrance exam, qualified candidates should fill out the application form for CMT B School. This form may be downloaded from the official website of the institute.

3. Documents Submission: Applicants are required to furnish the list of documents mentioned below:-

• Entrance examination score card
• Mark sheets of Class 10 and Class 12
• Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate (if applicable)
• Work experience certificate (if applicable)
• Passport size photographs

4. Selection: Shortlisted candidates based on the entrance exam scores are called in for the next round of selection that includes the following:

• Group Discussion (GD): This is intended to assess the communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work in a team.
• Personal Interview (PI): This is intended to assess the personality, career goals, and fit of the candidate for the program.

5. Final Selection: The final selection takes place on the basis of a composite score derived from performance on the entrance exam, academic background, GD performance, and PI evaluation.

6. Admission On Confirmation: Selected candidates are to confirm admission by paying the requisite fees and submitting original documents for verification.

Degree Wise Admission Process

PGDM: The Post Graduate Diploma in Management is the flagship program at CMT B School. An approved intake of 60 students per annum is there for the program, and admission is based on any one of the national-level entrance exams (MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, ATMA) score or on the CMT Admission Test score. For final selection, a group discussion and personal interview are thereafter conducted in which candidates are assessed holistically.

BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration program with an approved intake of 60 students. However, specific admission details are not mentioned; it seems that probably admission will be based on the 10+2 results and possibly an entrance test and/or an interview.

BCA: The Bachelor of Computer Applications also has an approved intake of 60 students. Admission details are unspecified but would normally be based on 10+2 results focusing on subjects mathematics or computer science.

BHM: Bachelor of Hotel Management has about an intake of 60 students. Admission details are not provided but generally that should be based on 10+2 results and maybe plus an aptitude test or an interview.
