Students must meet the IIM Ahmedabad admission criteria and should appear for CAT examination.
IIM Ahmedabad will declare the CAT cutoff percentage.
Students who meet the cutoff declared by IIM Ahmedabad can fill out the application form on the official website of the institute.
Candidates are called for WAT and PI on the basis of minimum percentile in CAT examination.
Further, students have to appear for an Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the student's performance in the WAT and PI.

Business Schools across the country especially the IIMs promotes the academic diversity so that students from different academic backgrounds can bring fresh and unique perspective on the table during the discussion in the classroom. Students from different academic background such as Engineering, Commerce, Arts, Management, etc. get admission in IIMs. As you are pursuing History Hons and if get admission to IIM Ahmedabad, you will have to study different management related subjects which you have not studied during your graduation. The difficulty level of the journey will depend that how well you will be able to understand the course curriculum.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is the most important component to get admission to IIM Ahmedabad. In order to get admission at IIM A, you must obtain a good percentile in the CAT.
IIM Ahmedabad give consideration to a number of factors while giving an interview call. These factors include CAT score, Class 10, Class 12, and Bachelor's degree marks, work experience, academic, and gender diversity, etc.
As you belong to the ST category, your first priority should be to clear both the overall percentile of 60 and sectional percentile of 50 in all three sections individually to be eligible to get WATPI shortlist. However, this is just a minimum percentile and does not give you a guarantee to get WATPI shortlist. CAT score is not the only criteria but is one of the major criteria for admission.
The marks obtained by you in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation, work experience, academic, and gender diversity will play a major role to get a shortlist for the WATPI process and your performance in the WATPI will play a major role during your final selection.

Scoring a mere percentile in the CAT does not give you a guarantee to get an interview call from IIM Ahmedabad as the institute has a very complex admission process. IIM Ahmedabad gives consideration to a lot of factors while giving an interview call to candidates. These factors include CAT score, Class 10, Class 12, and Bachelor's degree marks, work experience, academic, and gender diversity. If you even score somewhere around 99 percentile in the CAT , this will not mean that you will get a confirm call from IIM Ahmedabad. However, if you belong to the reserved category, then there are good chances of receiving an interview call at less percentile. Therefore, the CAT score is not the only criteria but is one of the criteria for admission to the IIM Ahmedabad . The cutoff will depend upon various factors which will change every year. However, candidates must meet the minimum overall percentile of 80 and sectional percentile of 70 in all three sections (less percentile for reserved category candidates) to become eligible to receive the WATPI shortlist.
