Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) offers admission to B.Tech, B.Des, M.Tech, Dual Degrees, MS, M.Sc, M.Des, MBA and many other courses. IIT Delhi admissions is done based on the candidate's performance on the entrance exam. For IIT Delhi B.Tech admission, candidates must have valid JEE Advanced scores while for admission to the IIT Delhi MBA course, students must have a valid CAT score. 

There are different entrance examinations for different PG courses. IIT Delhi admissions for the PG course are done based on performance in GATE/ CEED/ JAM. IIT Delhi UG Admissions 2025

The college offers B.Tech and B.Des at the undergraduate level. All the UG courses are offered in full-time mode only. The details of the IIT Delhi admission criteria for UG courses along with the seat intake are given below in the tabular format.

IIT Delhi Admission Process for B.Tech/ B.Tech M.Tech Courses

• The candidates must meet the IIT Delhi B.Tech eligibility criteria.

• The candidate must appear and qualify JEE Main and JEE  Advanced examinations.

• After the declaration of the results, if the candidate meets the cutoff then he/she can register for the JoSAA counselling.

• Then, the candidate must select IIT Delhi as the preferred college and preference courses must also be filled.

• Then seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination.

• Then report to IIT Delhi for document verification.

• The provisional admission will be confirmed once the candidate submits the documents for verification and pays the IIT Delhi fees.

IIT Delhi B.Des Admission Process

• Meet IIT Delhi B.Des eligibility criteria.

• Appear and qualify for UCEED and qualified candidates must register for the counselling process.

• Then, the candidate must select IIT Delhi as the preferred college.

• IIT Delhi B.Des admissions will be offered based on UCEED scores.

• Then seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi PG Admissions 2025

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers M.Tech, MS, M.Des, M.Sc, and MBA at the postgraduate level.  The duration of the PG course lasts for 2 years. The details of IIT Delhi admission criteria for PG courses is given below.

• The candidates must meet the IIT Delhi PG eligibility criteria.

• The candidate has to apply and qualify for the GATE examination. 

• If the candidate meets the GATE cutoff then the candidate should register for counselling conducted by COAP.

• Then the candidate must fill out the application form from the official website of IIT Delhi. 

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for written tests and interviews.

• Candidates with MBBS degree (minimum overall CPI of 6.5) or B.Tech degree (minimum overall CPI of 8.0) are exempted from GATE 2025.  

• Then seat allocation for IIT Delhi M.Tech admissions will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination.

• Finally, the candidates must submit the documents for verification and pay IITD fees. 

IIT Delhi M.Des Admission Process

• Candidates must meet the IIT Delhi M.Des eligibility criteria.

• Then candidate has to apply and qualify for the CEED examination. 

• If the candidate meets the CEED cutoff then the candidate can apply for the counselling process.

• Then the candidate must select IIT Delhi as the preferred institute.

• Shortlisted candidates can also be called for written tests and interviews for IIT Delhi M.Des admissions.

• Then seat allocation will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination.

IIT Delhi MBA Admission Process 

• To get admission, candidates must meet the IIT Delhi MBA eligibility criteria.

• Then the candidates have to appear and meet the IIT Delhi CAT cutoff. 

• Then the shortlisted candidates participate in interviews and/ or group discussions.

• The final IIT Delhi MBA admissions are done based on the performance in CAT and interview and/or group discussions.
