Chanakya Education Society's, Indira College of Pharmacy, Pune Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has one of the largest hostel facilities amongst Graduate Education Institutes in Maharashtra. The Boys Hostel comes with 1500 student capacity and excellent amenities such as Wi-Fi connectivity, Back –up, and a hygienic mess. Around 200 students will be accommodated this year in the hostel. Students opting to stay in the hostel will have to book their room at the earliest, as the allotment is done on a first come first basis.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a gymnasium consisting of quite sophisticated machines and weights. Like leg extension, leg curl, leg adductor, chest press, lat machine, peck deck, free weights, sitting bike, incline bench, decline bench, bicep press, horizontal row bar, and treadmill. Adding to it we have a team of the best trainers who train the students and faculties and are always ready to help or support them in any kind of exercise. The gym opens in the early morning and facilities are available till 8 p.m.

Besides this, it also maintains a separate collection of reference books, bound volumes of journals, and project reports. ICP library is a very special place in the Universe campus of Indira Group Institutes, with its rich collection of books and journals, e-journals, CDs, etc. in the field of Pharmacy. It is the most lively place on the campus providing a comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an IGI that has truly world-class, campus-wide state-of-the-art information technology tools that are designed to meet the computing and communication needs of the Institute. IGI has a fast, reliable, and robust computer network of more than 2000 Nodes. This network has Gigabit fiber backbone connectivity to all the blocks and departments. All the departments are connected through layer 2 and 3 switches to provide 100 Mbps connectivity at the user end. The central server room has an advanced server setup which includes an Antivirus server, Domain controller, Firewall, and DB servers. Internet connectivity from Tata Communications: 30 Mbps Leased line. Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus is available 24x7.Video Conferencing facility for remote sessions. The machines are equipped with the latest configuration. Apart from hardware resources, Computer Center provides different operating systems (Windows and Linux), and a wide range of application software.

The college has a canteen available and opens early morning to late evening at 10 pm. Equipped with all the necessary kitchen facilities, it serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and soft drinks to students and staff. Also, the canteen is used by students for entertaining activities during their free time. It is a friendly place for students to get acquainted and meet with other students and faculty between and after classes. The canteen is also used by students for many of their parties and other social events. 

The college has houses a fully air-conditioned & well-equipped Dhruv auditorium. It is an acoustically beautiful, air-conditioned concert hall used both as a theatre space and a multi-purpose facility.

The college has a Transport facility available on a payment basis, to students and employees from all major destinations in Pune city and adjoining areas. The service is outsourced to a professional service provider and is controlled by the administrative department of the college.

The college has a Pharmacy that wishes to cherish and develop the close association of our ex-students with the present students thereby helping the students to grow and develop further. An adequate number of laboratories as per norms are provided for regular practical as well as research activities. ICP has air-conditioned central instrumentation facilities with sophisticated instruments, an industrial pharmacy lab with a pilot-scale facility, a CPCSEA-registered animal house, and a medicinal plant garden.
