Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.

Eligibility Criteria

CATEGORY- A (Convenor) seats: (70% of intake in each branch):

The candidate shall be of Indian National.
The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
The Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized as equivalent to Intermediate thereto.
The Candidates seeking admission should qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates.
The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order,1974 as subsequently amended.

CATEGORY- B (Management) seats: (30% of intake in each branch):

The candidate shall be of Indian National or a Non-Resident Indian.
The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
15% of Category B seats are available to NRI candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 60% of aggregate marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent to 6 on a scale of 10.
The leftover seats are available to candidates from other states and Union Territories of India who have passed the qualifying examination and secured rank in AIEEE.
Vacant seats if any may be filled either on the basis of rank obtained in EAMCET or of securing not less than 50% in the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized as equivalent to Intermediate thereto.

Admission Details

The first category, Category seats constitutes 70% of the total seats in the college. The Category-A seats are filled through Convener, EAMCET, and Andhra Pradesh. The second category, Category-B seats constitutes 30% of the total available seats. The Category-B seats are filled by the management through the newspaper advertisement.

College Infrastructure

Wi-Fi is available for 24 hours, and the classrooms are quite good. The library on the campus is so beautiful and good. The canteen on the college is excellent. Medical facilities are provided for 24 hours. We have a sports trainer who is a high official and has won games in our zone and in our Prakasam district.
