Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi

Eligibility Criteria

Students must have passed the 2nd PUC/ 12th / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics/ Computers. (40% for Karnataka reserved category candidates).
Candidate must also qualify in one of the following entrance exams: CET/ COMED-K / JEE / AIEEE

For Diploma Holders

Diploma Holders in engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in the final examination, conducted by the Board of Technical Examination, Government of Karnataka or its equivalent, are eligible for admission to the corresponding branch of Second Year engineering. Candidates must take the Common Entrance Test (DCET) for Diploma students conducted by the CET Cell, Govt. of Karnataka. Seats will be allotted during the centralized counseling process conducted by the CET Cell.

For NRI & Foreign students

Admission to undergraduate programs in engineering shall be open to NRI / Foreign candidates who have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by AIU with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Electronics / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study. Students must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in PCM.

Admission Details

Students who wish to seek admission to the various undergraduate programmes in engineering at CMR Institute of Technology may do so via one of the following processes:

Common Entrance Test (CET) and Selection Process-

The Government of Karnataka conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) through the Karnataka Examination Authority. This entrance exam is a gateway to obtaining an engineering seat through the Government quota. The CET conducts the examination in four subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Candidates who wish to seek admission in engineering courses should appear for the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics exams. Students are offered a choice of colleges based on their CET ranking at the time of CET counselling and can choose CMRIT at the time of CET counselling.

COMEDK and Selection Process-

The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association namely “Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”, COMEDK also conducts entrance examinations for all students irrespective of state. After the COMEDK entrance test is administered and the test scores and rank lists have been published, centralized counselling will be conducted. Students are given the option of selecting the college of their choice during COMEDK counselling, and can choose CMRIT at this time.

Management Admission Process-

Admission through this process is open to both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. Eligible students (those who meet qualifying requirements as per the eligibility criteria) may contact the CMRIT Admissions Section in order to obtain the application form. Candidates will be selected based on their academic merit.

College Infrastructure

The college is quite good.We have well equipped labs with computers,wifi, and now smart teaching monitors are being installed in every class.Most amazing infrastructure of our college is library,it's well equipped with books you can go and visit and learn whatever you like.

Decent learning & placements, campus life mostly enjoyable.

College Infrastructure

CMRIT's infrastructure looks good from the outside, but the experience is mixed once you actually start using it. As an AIML student, the labs have the basic requirements, but many PCs run slow, and getting technical issues fixed takes time. Classrooms are decent but get hot and congested, and the campus overall feels smaller and more packed than you expect. The library is one of the better maintained spaces, and you will actually feel like studying there. Overall, the infra works, but it doesn't really match the hype.

College Infrastructure

CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) is located amdist the buzzing IT corridor, making it one of the best destinations for an engineering student, especially the ones wanting to pursue CSE and allied courses. Speaking about the college infrastructure - it is spread across an area of 8 acres with all kinds of amenities - ample parking space for both two wheelers and four wheelers, sports ground with synthetic turf, open areas for recreational activites,library with very good resources canteen, CCD, and much more. The educational buildings comprises of many blocks, dedicated for different streams and courses. The classrooms are well-lit with excellant ventilation, the labs are very good in terms of facilities, equipments, robust systems and talented lab instructors. To sum-up the college offers an excellant infrastructure for the students to learn and grow , and helps to make the best out of their college lives.
