The college has average to good infrastructure as it is one of the oldest college in the country giving agriculture degree. The campus is very large and classrooms have smartboards and fully air conditioning rooms are given to the students.
As it is one of the oldest college it has very experienced faculties teaching here .. as an agronomist we have to see the crop and food production in our country to cope with the rising population . The curriculum is based on ICAR and it makes us competent enough to go outside and showcase the talent.
It has an average placements .Few of the students get the placement in any fertilizer companies or seed testing company.. But mostly students choose for higher education and others opt for the Aao and civil services exam.
As it is the second oldest Agricultural College in the country, the infrastructure requires special attention that is being taken care of. Classrooms and restrooms are cleaned daily but we only have five lecture halls in total. New practical labs are much needed too.
We have a diverse spectrum of course but I believe practical classes need a lot more exposure to real world problems. We usually spend a lot of time writing rather than doing practical stuff. Also field trips should be given utmost priority.
Tough to own a spot but if we are competent enough, placements are a chef's kiss. The best part is, we get to choose from a number of options such as Govt. Jobs to Companies to higher studies. A good number of students clear Civil Services Exam from our college and many of them are studying abroad to pursue higher studies.
There are two kinds of fees: General and Cost-sharing. Students who are under the Cost-sharing category pay around 7 times of what is paid by the General people every odd semester. I feel I am getting less than my money's worth.
Competitions aren't fair here. Favouritism prevails. As far as I have noticed, people need to have close ties with the respective committees to outshine others.
Overall, it's good. I am proud of the legacy that this college stands for, but at the same time, there is a cesspool of patriarchal mindsets that needs to be cleansed.
Yeah , this college has all the necessary equipment, faculties, facilities and others . The classroom is well maintained with proper facilities and the classroom is cleaned at regular intervals. There are different sport centres for different sports .
I am studying Bsc . Hons . Agriculture. I choose this carrier because it has vast opportunities. U can explore many different fields and know in which areas u r better . Yeah my curriculum is updated .
I don't know about the placements because right now i am just a 2nd year student . However I got to know some information from my seniors that in 2021 the placements were around 4 lpa for BSC hons AG students and for MSC students it was around 5 lpa
There are 2 kinds of seats- General seats and Cost sharing. For General seats- It is around Rs. 18000 per year and for Cost Sharing seats it comes to be around Rs. 78000-80000 per year. If you're availing hostel facilities, it will cost more. Overall, I would say the college has evolved so far but yes, there is still much needed to be done.
The college campus has been divided into many areas . At the entrance there are gardens and at the backside of the college, it has sports complex which has a ground , a basketball court , a volleyball court, 3 badminton courts and a gym . It has a separate hospital also. The students are well disciplined and well mannered. The teachers are very respectful , punctual and supportive . It's been located in the siripur chowk. Yahh it's safe
If you are interested for doing agriculture, then u should choose this college . It has very good faculties and facilities . The teachers are very supportive. The sport events are conducted every year , in which many students can show their abilities in different sports . Moreover, there are other cultural events like drama, singing, dancing , mime , ramp walk etc in which students can show their talents . Overall this is a good college for those who are trying to pursue Bsc.hons agriculture.
Yes my college has necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. classroom is equipped with smart class accessories and air conditioned, laboratories have necessary equipment and chemical. My college has gymnasium for indoor sports and field large enough to even host a proper cricket match with gallery for spectators to sit and enjoy the game. Hostel as well as college has wifi available. the food in the hostel is healthy. Good living standards and hygiene is maintained.
I graduated the previous year but i can say the quality of teaching was excellent. Professors groom their students well for any exams or challenges. They even share slides and notes when needed and always available to clear doubts irrespective of the time. teachers are also connected to students via whatsapp. The curriculum is updated and yes what we learn is enough to crack stream related job interviews.
Placement section needs attention. Students either have to crack entrance exam for higher studies or govt. jobs or go for off-campus job search. placement percentage is quite low. During my graduation tenure, there were 3-5 job proposal offered and most of them were contractual.
Well it was worth spending my money to learn from college of agriculture, OUAT. The subjects that were included in the syllabus is helping me in my MBA studies.
Campus life was fun. We had different clubs for aesthetics, literature, sports etc. The events were open to all the students. Location is perfect, we have our own dispensary for medical emergencies and college is just 4 km away from hospitals, airport and railway station. Market is just 100m away from hostel. Support staff and teachers are very supportive.
