CIET Raipur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology, Raipur is a platform for higher education into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the engineering and management disciplines. CIET Raipur has a well-structured entrance mechanism to identify truly deserving candidates for the different courses offered at the institution. The admission cycle obviously begins around the month of May-June every year, as far as the academic year commencing in August-September is concerned. Admission is based on various state and national entrance examinations, depending upon the program. For undergraduate engineering courses, the entrance procedure is based on the score achieved in the Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CG PET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. For qualifying in management programs, candidates have to appear in tests under various names; for example, CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA.

To be eligible for admission to B.Tech programs, candidates are required to have qualified the 10+2 level from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. It is important to note that for almost all programs, a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks is essential in the qualifying examination. In MBA admissions, applicants must have attained 50 percent in their graduation. Dates change according to the selected program and examination for admission. For example, a candidate is likely to receive the JEE Main 2025 city intimation slip from January 2, 2025. The XAT 2025 city intimation slip is going to be made available by January 5, 2025, and for CMAT 2025 on January 17, 2025. Application Process

The application mode for Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology, Raipur, differs by program:

1. Qualifying the Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CG PET) or JEE Main for B.Tech programs
2. Registering for the state-level counseling process.

Admission Process according to Admission Degree

B.Tech: CIET, Raipur offers B.Tech programs within these domains: Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The admission into these B.Tech programs is decided by their qualifying marks in the Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test or JEE Main. Overall, a total of 360 seats are available in all B.Tech disciplines. Candidates must have completed their qualifying examination of 10 plus 2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects.

MBA: CIET Raipur has a total of 60 seats in its MBA program. Admissions will be carried out based on the score obtained in either CAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA tests, followed by further selection processes as determined by the institute. For eligibility into the MBA program, the minimum eligibility mark requirement is 50 percent in the graduation level.

Diploma: CIET Raipur has 60 seats in each of the three disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering in diploma courses. The admission process for the diploma courses is through the relevant state-level examination, or as laid down by the institution.

M.Tech: The institute runs two M.Tech programs in Computer Technology and Thermal Engineering, each with an intake capacity of 7 seats. Generally, admission for M.Tech is given based on GATE scores or while conducting a separate entrance test by the institute followed by an interview process.
