CU Shah Physiotherapy College, Surendranagar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

There are 5 hostel postgraduate quarters in the campus. There are separate hostels for boys with attached mess facilities. Each student is provided with a bed, cupboard, table, chair, and a shelf. 2-3 students share the rooms in the UG hostels while a separate room is provided for each PG student in the PG quarters. Hot and cold potable water facility is provided for 24 hours. Drinking mineral water cooler facilities are provided in each floor of the hostels as well as in the mess dining area. Hostel cleanliness is well maintained by 24-hour service maids.

The College offers all primary and tertiary care facilities with free consultation and treatment to all faculties and students. The medical/dental OPD runs 7 days a week. Along with the emergency OPD facilities, the campus has a medical store which runs 24/7 to enhance the OPD facilities. The medical store within the campus runs 24/7 enhancing the OPD and IPD facilities.

Departmental Library caters to the information needs of the faculty and students of Physiotherapy College with more than 700 books, Back volumes for all journals, theses [UG / PG], Journals (National & International). Central Library caters to the information needs of the faculty and students of Medical College, Physiotherapy College, Institute of Audiology and Speech Therapy and contains more than 13000 books, back volumes [1710], Theses - (UG, PG) - 152, journals[National/International-114], CDs, Electronic (e-books, e-journals), Special collections, Question banks etc.,

The College offers immense opportunities for students inclined towards sports, both indoors and outdoors. The students of the college are actively encouraged to participate in these activities. Separate provisions are also provided for the students like balls, nets, and other required amenities. These activities inculcate the healthy habits of sportsmanship and competitiveness among the students and help them to release their stress and learn the spirit of freedom, togetherness, discipline, leadership, and self-control. a). Our college has a well-equipped computer laboratory for the students and faculties. It is equipped with networked computers, with USB Ports and Internet access, This lab enables the students to remain updated and to sharpen their skills in computing and related areas, so indispensable in today's world. Students may make full use of this facility to hone their skills at handling computers. It is located within the departmental library premises. There is a dedicated network of the advanced computer system, on which free internet is available to all users.

A canteen is functioning within the premises of the college to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students that serves delicious varieties of food including the Gujarati, Rajasthani, Punjabi, South Indian, Chinese etc. We have two hostel mess and a multi-cuisine canteen. It provides four meals a day to more than 500 students and staffs residing in the campus hostels and quarters. multi-cuisine restaurants within walking distance -Fast food stalls, fresh fruits, and juice stalls and many multi-cuisine restaurants throng around the campus within walking distance. Franchises of GORAS Indian Restaurant, Tea-Post, Karnavati Dhabeli, Kuchhi King, Amul&Vadilal are few to name. Amul parlor -The campus also has an Amul Parlour. They give deliveries at the doorstep of the quarters and hostel rooms every day.

The college has a 700 seater Auditorium with audio-visual aids where all the major events such as annual day celebration, graduation ceremony, orientation program of the new batch, farewell party and other workshops, seminars and conferences etc., are conducted. College festivals of CUSPC are too vibrant, where highly energetic students toil to win appreciation for their talents. College Festivals are the most effective way of bringing youth under the same the enhance social interaction and exchange of cultural ideas and thoughts. Annual inter-class competitions in cultural activities College days are organized Opportunities are given for female students to participate in intra- and inter-institutional cultural activities. Cultural committees organize events exclusively for female students. Cultural committees have female students and staff members to facilitate and encourage the participation of female students. Observing Days of National Importance such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Woman’s Day, Doctor’s Day, Teachers Day, World Health days etc., are celebrated in our institute.

The Wi-Fi network is a secured network, and the college assigns all the students and faculty alike with log-in-details to access their account.

The college has Gym facility for the students.

The campus is equipped with SBI Bank ATM outlet and the bank services are at the doorstep for all faculties as well as post graduate residents and students. The IDBI bank provides its friendly banking to all teaching and non-teaching faculties, postgraduates and peons of the institute.

The student's store has a bookstore section which provides all International and Indian authored books, notes and guides at special discounts for the students. New editions of any book are promptly available as early as it launches. A Xerox center is also attached with a bookstore for ease of the students

The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students. It is equipped with advanced instruments including Laser therapy unit, Posture Evaluators, Handheld dynamometer, Hand dynamometer, Therabands, Algometry, Flamingo balance beam, Stability disk, Combo therapy, Swiss balls, Cycle Ergometer & Multi gym exerciser, Skin Fold Calipers, CPM etc.. for the students and staffs to carry out various research projects.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.
