DCET Hyderabad Admission Process

Deccan College of Engineering and Technology (DCET), Hyderabad, is a renowned college offering a range of engineering and management courses. The college follows a systematic admission process to select deserving candidates for its various programs. DCET is affiliated with Osmania University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The admission process of DCET is primarily on state-level entrance examinations. Undergraduate engineering programs are having admissions on the basis of the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). Admission to postgraduate engineering programs is on the basis of either Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET). For MBA and MCA courses, the college accepts scores of the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET).

Application Procedure

Application procedure for DCET is different for the course:

For B.E. / B.Tech Courses:

1. Clear the TS EAMCET exam.
2. Register for the counseling procedure conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on a centralized basis.
3. Choose DCET and preferable courses during counseling.
4. If a seat is obtained, report to DCET for fee payment and document verification.

For MBA and MCA Courses:

1. Attend the TS ICET exam.
2. Register for the centralized counseling procedure for MBA/MCA courses.
3. Choose DCET and preferred program during counseling.
4. Complete admission process at DCET in case selected.

For M.Tech Programs:

1. Qualify GATE or TS PGECET.
2. Direct application to DCET or centralized admissions, if any.
3. Attend rounds of counseling or interviews, if any are conducted by the college.
4. Complete admission process at DCET in case selected.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.E. / B.Tech Courses: DCET offers various B.E. courses like Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The admissions to these programmes are offered on TS EAMCET scores. The minimum eligibility is passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

MBA Program: The college has an MBA program with 240 seats in total. Admissions are conducted on the basis of TS ICET scores. Candidates shortlisted might be required to undergo further selection processes as per the institute's guidelines.

MCA Program: DCET has an MCA program with 60 seats. Admissions are conducted on the basis of TS ICET scores. Candidates having a bachelor's degree in the concerned stream can apply.

M.Tech Courses: M.Tech courses are offered in Computer Science Engineering and Structural Engineering with 18 seats for both. Admissions are based on either GATE marks or TS PGECET score. The applicants should have B.E./B.Tech in the respective stream.

Admission documents usually comprise:

  • TS EAMCET/TS ICET/GATE/TS PGECET rank card and admit card
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Degree certificates and mark sheets (for postgraduate programs)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (if needed)
  • Caste certificate (if needed)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

When it comes to studies yess I'll rate them 4 not 5 because any branch from overall department they have a experience faculty which will give you the best guidance and even they predict well in exams so after mj college this is the bestest option here which will never leave you alone struggling with studies

The teachers are highly qualified with Ph.D. and help through the way. The curriculum is set by Osmania University and it makes the students ready to face the industry. The exams are pretty difficult and lengthy which makes us even more prepared for the industry.

All the lecturers are recruited by their links as such friends, relatives or known persons Most of lecturers are from same area so they have bonding which is not related to teaching. Not to get any false remarks 1sr years are placed in a different block. When going to 2nd year all their reality is revealed. They are just show off and most of the equipments are marked by MIM party name. Very few (2-3) lecturers can be named as true lecturers all others those who are teaching are not actual lectur
