The College hostel is named after the Thadlaskein Lake of Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya, and is 8 Kms from Jowai on the National Highway - 44. It is a man-made lake and is fed by a perennial spring. According to tradition, Sajar Nangli a deputy of the Jaintia King had an irreconcilable difference with the King. Not wanting to be blamed for an inevitable bloodbath he decided to leave the Kingdom with his followers. On their way, they dug the lake with the help of their bows. The lake is still revered by the people of Raid Mukhla who continue to offer sacrifices near the Lake. It is also a popular picnic spot for locals.

The College Library, which started with a collection of 600 books in 1973, is now a premier university library of the North-Eastern Region of India with a collection of over 2.9 lakh volumes of books and bound periodicals supplemented by the enormous information resources now available through the e-ShodhSindhu Consortium for Higher Education Resources and the links to global information resources and services provided on its webpage.
The college has a Moot Court facility for students and staff.
The College has two health centers in Shillong; one located in Bijni Complex and the other on the Campus, Umshing. The health centers provide free medical care and medicines to the teaching and administrative staff as well as to the students of the University.
The Computer Centre, North-Eastern Hill University came into existence in May 1987 with the installation of the EC-1045.01 Mainframe Computer System. The system was made available to users in September 1987. With a financial grant from UGC, a mini Computer VAX-3100-40 was installed in 1993, which had been used extensively for research-related computation and computer education purposes.
The College Department of Sports, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, facilitates Sports activities for the colleges affiliated to NEHU. The department organizes sports events in Shillong and Tura Campuses. The events consist of Cricket, Football, Hockey, boxing, Judo, Best Physique, Weight lifting, Athletics, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, basketball, and Volleyball.
The college has a good networking for the alumni association.
The College consists has an old guest house named U Kiang Nangbah Guest House and a new guest house named U Tirot Singh Guest House. They had been able to be self-sustaining and bring in more improvements in the infrastructure from its own resources to providing better facilities and comfort to the guests of the University.
The Guest House at Tura Campus functions from a hired building and it is capable of accommodating 12 guests at a time. It has 3 AC Guest rooms, 1 room with Cooler, and 1 non-AC room. As the University is having an MBA program on Campus, the Guest faculties from abroad are provided accommodation in the Guest House.
