The area is huge but it is very average. More maintenance work is needed as majority of buildings are very old and are literally on the verge of collapsing. And most classrooms are filled with dust and are dirty.
Studies are good. Some professors are very enthusiastic about teaching and teach us lots of things. The syllabus is also regularly updated. There are also a lot of seminars held to help the students.
Internships have been made compulsory now so it helps the students in the career. Professors are also very helpful in guiding students regarding their future job opportunities. Workshops are also sometimes held.
The state of the buildings is pathetic and major renovations and repairs are needed in order to ensure proper safety of the students. Especially the washrooms always stink, although some students are also to be blamed for it.
The professors hardly ever take classes and also cancel classes at the last moment with no prior notice, leaving students extremely frustrated. The curriculum also needs to be updated on a regular basis.
There are zero placements. There is no formal establishment to provide guidance, counselling or any other advice to students to aid with their employment opportunities later. No career advice is given to anyone.
The infrastructure is huge! It's so big that there are e-rickshaws available inside the campus. However, all the buildings are in desperate need of renovation and deep cleaning. The food provided in hostels is below average.
Only a few of the professors are willing to teach. Some don't even show up for classes sadly. The curriculum is also badly in need of revision and appropriate changes have to be made at the earliest.
The placement is poor and there is no facility for it, or even a club or society. There should also be separate certificates provided in order to equip students with placement training and hone their professional skills.
The course fee is overall pretty cheap, but the quality of education provided is extremely poor. Most students have to rely on online channels in order to understand even basic concepts. I am very disappointed.
The crowd is average. There are too many students who only come to show off their cars and do not even bother attending classes, and yet somehow, still pass their exams with zero to negligible penalties imposed.
the college is known for supportive ,and helpful facilities, and are also available within the campus .and the boys hostel is situated outside of the campus.A huge canteen you can find here. You may have healthy food in a minimum price.
The college provides llb and ba .Just invest your 3-5years according to the course and have return for the rest of your life .The teachers are very co -operative and helpful and also teachers dedicated ,they are also very friendly
If you want to make career in legal studies join this college .The college provides the tranquil environment, the scope of regular practice in moot cordial assistance in the practical tour.Yoy also may have some opportunities for intership.
Yeah my university has all the good infrastructure like gym, swimming pool, tennis court, volleyball ground, basketball ground like laboratory and computer labs. Evrything is well used and well maintained. The living space here in the university is great and the mess food as well as campus food is great and tasty too
studies and academic are excellent and the faculty is cooperative supportive and good .they do provide excellent education. Teachers make full attention to the queries , doubts of the students. They provide some guest lectures ,webinars to enhance students knowledge and make them job ready
Quality of placement in law department is good. Everyone start practicing once they are done with the phd , many get assistant job here in the university only. The phd provides stipend too. The college is supportive
Law department is an experience. Political culture is great! College staff is amazing and very helpful. They care about each and every student. Culture of Panjab university is very famous, but the best of that can be seen here. Students compete hard and teachers are working hard to bring the best of education and opportunities to the students. The department is one of the oldest institutions teaching law in the country and has brone several popular lawyers and judges. Every student is cared for.
Teachers are good, but syllabus needs to fit modern requirements. But the kind of exposure offered to each student, blurs the effect of syllabus. The 24/7 library has helped all the students to maintain their schedules to study and concentrate only on studies. The department has compulsory moots which is not found in every institution. This contributes to litigation career, confidence enhancement, development of research skills etc. The department is a very good place to make legal Connections
The department has no placement cell. But the department provides training for JMIC exam. That is students are prepared for judiciary. Also training is provided separately for civil service examinations to students.
It is a government institution, fee of every student is subsidised. For reserved category and economically backward sections scholarships are provided.
Amazing culture!
The infrastructure of the department is very good. The classes are very spacious. There is seminal hall and a moot court hall also. The entire panjab University has WiFi facility which helps students in their research activities. And the hostels are provided in the campus of Panjab University.
I have studied LLB from department of laws. The general faculty is good. The teachers are well versed with the syllabus part and are authors of many books. But somewhere, there is lack of knowledge of practical aspects. Also, the curriculum is not very much updated considering developments in the legal field.
The department has negligible placement drives. Only in recent times, some law firms have started coming up to recruit LLB passouts. And the package offered is also not very good. One feels low when after spending so much time and money, not much is offered for the job.
The annual fees for the course is varies from 10,000 to 15,000 including the money spent on books and research work for the presentations. I would say there is value for money since LLB from Panjab University has some reputation and no good University offers professional course at such cheap prices.
The campus is at its best. There are trees around keeping the department calm, serene and cool. There are students of every kind - some engaged in academics, some in competitive exams, some nin extra curricular activities. It's proximity to Stu-C, where one can quickly go, grab a cup of coffee, and have a little chit chat with friends, makes it an interesting place.
Infrastructure of law department is very good they have different departments for the integrated L.L.B (5 years) and B.A LLB (3 years ). The building of law department is very clean and very systematically buildings.
The teachers of law department are very good there they also tell us about current affairs. But there are some teachers which are not regular. The teachers are very polite. The study makes us job ready because of practical studies.
The placements in university are average. The students have to prepare a mindset to know which company they have to join. The university also have to make efforts so some better companies come in university for placements.
The fees for academics is approximately 1 lakhs for per year.
If we see the facilities and equipment it is fine but if we talk about the washrooms they are disgusting mostly my friend even got allergies due to that although some times they are clean but not mostly but the classes are clean
Ya we have a nice updated curriculum and also the teachers are well versed and when we study we feel how nicely the teachers are teaching us and Punjab University has a name in LAW Department it is considered prestige
Yeah ample number of companies visit the university but not all the students get placed and they offer not much high packages although the teachers does not help much into it, upto you how you do it and there are chances you may get placed
I feel satisfied with the fees I paid
Campus life is amazing and the Stu C is LOVE
Yes, we have all the necessary facilities like AC JOSHI library and also have different campuses for different fields which is better and i think is a better way but there is a single problem that you won't find clean toilets which can be disgusting many times.
I am studying Bachelor of Law, because i think law is my passion and i have heard lot about Panjab University Law. Our teachers are very nice and helping, they are well versed in their subjects and i feel they are very nice
Yes, there are some companies that visit the campus for jobs but they are few and can not cope with the number of students graduating from the university every year and also the university offers internship at district court and also high court.
I feel the money is worth the course.
Campus Life is very cool and we have a Canteen 'Stu C' which is life.
