DeCAD Ratnagiri Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

It started in the year 2007 when the institution at Ratnagiri of Devrukh College of Art and Design, with its special setup and specialization for State's artistic heritage in Maharashtra, under aegis came into its own journey. Programs that the institute provides, are equally supported for both fine as well as applied arts. Here the most conducive environment for creativity and the growth of any art exists. Eligibility for applying in DeCAD is that the candidate must have done his or her 10+2 education from a recognized board. 1. Log in to the DeCAD official website, through which one can download the application form along with the guidelines.

2. Filling out the application form using all correct details about one's personal life as well as education.

3. A portfolio containing all the artworks. The applicant should present all his creative skills by preparing it with some of the best artwork.

4. Collect all the documents required, which may include the following: 

• 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
• School leaving certificate
• Character certificate
• Passport-size photographs
• Certificates of art competitions or exhibitions participated in

5. Finally, submit the application form with the portfolio and other attached documents to college. Application forms can be submitted online through a college website or by post to college postal addresses.

6. Pay a nonrefundable college-determined application fee. The application fee is accepted by whatever means are indicated in the application guidelines.

7. Once submitted, wait for communication from the college on the next steps, which may include an interview or aptitude test.

8. If shortlisted, you may be called for an in-person interview or asked to participate in an on-site artistic assessment.

9. Final selection will be based on your overall application, including academic performance, portfolio quality, and performance in any additional assessments conducted by the college.

Degree-wise Admission Process

BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts): DeCAD offers the full-time four-year course in painting as BFA. The intake for the course is 60. Admission to BFA must be based on artistic portfolio of the candidate and his academic achievements in 10+2, plus possibly interview or aptitude test conducted by the college.

Diploma in Applied Art DeCAD offers this course as a two-year full-time course. Admission into the program for the diploma can include the assessment of artistic skills, academic performance of the applicant, and interview. The eligibility for these candidates is completion of 10+2.
