Dibrugarh Polytechnic, Dibrugarh: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

One of the reputed technical institutes in the state, Dibrugarh Polytechnic, was established in 1965 at Lahoal, Dibrugarh, Assam. This affiliated college, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, has spent more than five decades in shaping technical talent. The polytechnic, spread over a spcaious 45 acres of campus, provides an ideal atmosphere for learning and growth. With an enrolment of 420 students and a faculty strength of 14, Dibrugarh Polytechnic has a serious approach towards education. The Institute is, at present, offering three diploma programs in vital engineering disciplines, which aid to the diverse needs of the technical industry. 

The polytechnic has a range of facilities to make a student's experience enjoyable and interactive. The campus of  Dibrugarh Polytechnic also has a well-equipped laboratory, including computer and language labs for practical training in subjects where technical education is imparted. There is a comprehensive library that acts as the knowledge reservoir of the institution, providing students with access to all kinds of resources. The all-round development of students is also taken care of by the institute through sports facilities and an auditorium for cultural and academic activities. The institute also provides hostel facilities to those needing accommodation, with boys' and girls' hostels situated about 100 meters from the main campus of Dibrugarh Polytechnic. Each of the hostels can accommodate a total of 100 students with basic facilities like electricity, water supply, and fans. These also include a canteen, a health centre with first-aid facilities, and guest rooms for visiting faculty and family members who stay on the campus. 

At present, Dibrugarh Polytechnic offers three full-time diploma courses of three years each. These include the Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and Diploma in Electrical Engineering. This will allow the institute to maintain quality education in the core engineering disciplines.

The admission procedure at Dibrugarh Polytechnic is simple and convenient for interested students. It considers the performance in academics in related subjects and sometimes hold entrance examinations.
