Donyi Polo Government College, Kamki Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a college library which is popularly known as the nucleus of this temple of learning. The collection of books and other literature from the world of knowledge is small but rich. These support readers, intelligentsia, and curriculum. There are dailies, weeklies, magazines, and journals in the subscription list that provide the latest information on events happening around the globe and thus enrich and update the knowledge of our readers. The services of the library have been facilitated with the help of the Photostat machine and internet connection. The library has a big reading room with modern furniture where our sincere readers use their (his/her) books and other literature from the library and spend time in search of knowledge. The college library follows an open-access system. Every reader has full freedom to choose his/her books from the shelves directly. 

The College offers different amenities to the students in the field of games and sports. The college is well equipped with different sports facilities. It has a general ground for playing football, cricket, field & track events, and various outdoor events. Further, each Boys/Girls hostel has its volleyball court attached to its respective hostels. The college has UGC sponsored swimming pool and basketball court for swimming and playing basketball. The college also has well well-furnished auditorium where badminton, table tennis, and indoor games are played.

The College has in collaboration with MICE (Kamba) offered Basic Computer education by charging a nominal fee. The Computer class is held in the IT Cell attached to the College Library. Admission to Computer education is done on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. 

The College has a fully furnished canteen, wherein tea, snacks, and fast food are available at a reasonable rate for students and staff. The open tender system is being practiced, to cater for the competition among the bidders. The affairs of the canteen are managed by the canteen management committee. 

The College has a well-furnished auditorium to cater to the needs of college activities such as literary events, seminars, cultural competitions, indoor sports, etc.

The College has at present three boy's hostels accommodating 60 boarders in each hostel. Preference in offering hostel accommodation will be given to Arunachal Tribal Students purely based on merit which may be categorized as under.

The College has a bus of its own. It is used for social service, group movement, and marketing purposes of staff and students. For its maintenance and meeting of fuel requirements, each student is charged Rs. 200/- for the entire session. The staff of the college will also be charged at a rate higher than that of students. Apart from irregular, unforeseen, and emergency trips, regular trips of the bus comprise three trips for students and one trip for staff and students in a week to Aalo. 

The College has Internet connections that have been provided to facilitate the students, Faculty members, and Research Scholars to further their academic excellence and enrichment of knowledge.

The college has an Extracurricular activities facility for all students.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.
