Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade Institute of Management Studies and Research, Dharwad, is one of the premier institutions in this state and was started in 2008 to deliver quality management education. Admission at the institute selects deserving candidates for the MBA program. DVHIMSR is approved by the AICTE for the competitiveness of its management courses.

The admission cycle of DVHIMSR is exactly the same as that of an academic calendar. It starts months before the academic year begins. The institute generally offers admissions strictly based on the basis of two entrance exams in particular, such as the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test, more commonly known as the PGCET, and the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test, simply abbreviated as K-MAT. The institute generally conducts PGCET in May-June every year. K-MAT is conducted twice a year. Thus, this provides ample opportunity for aspiring students to get into the college. 

The eligibility criteria for MBA by DVHIMSR are bachelor degree from recognized university. Either PGCET or K-MAT scores can be taken and students have to fulfill cut-off scores as set by the institute for respective exams.

Application Process

Application procedure to the MBA program at Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade Institute of Management Studies and Research, Dharwad is as follows:

1. Entrance Exam: The students must take either Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test. For example, PGCET is typically conducted in the month of May-June while K-MAT is conducted during twice a year.

2. Application Form: After getting the entrance exam scores, applicants have to fill up the application form for DVHIMSR. This form would probably be available on the official website of the institute.

3. Document Submission: Applicants have to submit the required documents with their application. These usually are:

Degree wise Admission Process

MBA: The flagship program at DVHIMSR is the Master of Business Administration (MBA). The admission process for the MBA program is based on the candidate's performance in either the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (K-MAT). The program has an approved intake of 120 students, and it is, therefore, a competitive course. The MBA is designed to be a two-year, full-time course for equipping students with vast knowledge and additional skills for business competition.
