Dr D Y Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Pune was established in the year 1994. It holds the record of being the first Pharmacy institute in the Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune with a B.Pharm course. DDYPIPSR Pune is recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. The DPU Pharmacy College received an A++ Grade with a CGPA of 3.77 from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The college provides admission to the Diploma programme (D.Phar), undergraduate programme B. Pharm and Pharm. D, post-graduate programme (M. Pharm) in 3 branches and a doctoral (Ph. D.) programme in 4 branches. Admission to the college entirely depends upon the merit of the student. DDYPIPSR facilities include sports facilities, a seminar room, a canteen, department-based laboratories, and much more. Pharma d course or doctor of Pharmacy is a 6 year course which requires eligibility of 10+2 or Diploma in Pharmacy. Fees for pharma d is different for various Institutions. It ranges from 3.5 to 20 lakhs depending on the Institution you are enrolled in. It is a doctorate course which has the following job opportunities: Clinical Pharmacist, Hospital Pharmacy Director, Hospital Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacist, Pharmacist in Charge, Retail Pharmacist, Retail Staff Pharmacist, Drug Experts, Drug Interaction Specialists, Nutritionists, Medical Writer, Drug Writer, Lecturer, Drug Advisor, Pharmaceutical Advisor, Community Practitioner, Corporate Jobs, etc. Salary offered on this course is 2.06- 9 lakhs per annum.
